Mommy and Daddy's Christmas presents

This year Ryan and I exchanged presents. We normally do not as we do so much during the year or usually right before Christmas. This year we really hadn't, well besides buying a house. I was so excited to shop for him. I had lots of ideas this year. I ended up getting hubs some new Costa Del Mar sunglasses with chums, a ipod touch, Lucky Jeans, Croc shoes for the cabin, wallet and a new wedding ring. He left his wedding ring in the hotel he was staying at last year while working out of town. This time I got him one that was more like what he wanted. He was shocked by the gifts and very happy!

As for me, Ryan kept asking me and I really couldn't think of anything. I found some ideas online and sent him pictures of some. However, I just got the main gift today! It was on back order and he didn't even realize it. Ha! men! He did stick some charms in my stocking for my charm bracelet. He also told me he would take me to get some jeans, thats what I really want as I wear them every single day! He didn't like the idea, but told me he would take me. Sweet man. Then my gift came today - A Michael Kors watch. Love!! Something I would never go buy myself. I loved what my sweetie ended up getting for me!

Christmas 2012

*I was lucky this year and had off 5 1/2 days straight! It was awesome to be off and spend all that time with my little family! We ran last minute errands and did a few other things....but basically laid low. Christmas Eve we decided to go to church at the earliest service. We headed to church for the 12pm service. When we arrived there was a slide set up with tubes and snow at the bottle! There were blow up bouncy houses, food, and just fun stuff going on! It was so neat. I was shocked at how slow paced it was. There were numerous service times all weekend so that is probably why. Bridger was weary about being dropped off. but handled it well. I'm sure he was just nervous as there were no other children in his class. Poor boy.

They had an awesome Christmas program. Dancers from one of the local dance companies. The kids were amazing dancing. It was a very good production and so fun to watch all those kids. They were very good. Pastor Bill preached from inside a giant snow globe and at one point we had "snow" falling on us! It was pretty cool. We sat and listened as he talked about the birth of baby Jesus, and the wise man. It was a great service and I always love going to church.

Bridg came home and took a nap and after he woke up hours later we headed to Ryan's  moms house for some Christmas eve dinner. He played well and we hardly had any break downs or time outs. He did so good. I loved it.

Christmas Eve

Santa came and left presents!!!

Christmas morning came to our house at 730am! I was so happy it wasn't earlier. Bridger doesn't quite get it yet so he isn't in a rush to wake up yet. I went to go get him up and said Merry Christmas my Love, he looked at me and said, NO! ha. He did not want me to tell him Merry Christmas as I tried to tell him numerous times. He is so silly. We got up, I headed downstairs to set up and get the camera going. Ryan came down with him and I told him Merry Christmas again and he got so shy! He didn't even run to his Santa gifts, he ran to me and hugged my legs, then back to his daddy. He hates being the center of attention. He warmed up and started playing with his toys.

My mom came over and we opened all the gifts together. Again - Bridger is still a little young. He didn't want to open the presents- he opened a few and played. By the end of it my mom and I finished opening them. I get so involved with whats going on that I didn't get any pictures. Bridger was really excited when we opened his leap pad and told him it was his own little "computer" he instantly wanted us to open it up so he could play it.

Ryan and I headed to the kitchen to cook breakfast while my mom and her boyfriend entertained Bridger, at one point he did something and I heard Ryan tell him, Bridger I will put you in time out - in which Bridger moves to where we could see him and says "Not meeeee" I had to hide my laughter. He has SO much attitude and spunk!

We ate a nice breakfast and Bridger played with his toys. He went out and rode his tricycle after and we took our time. Set up Ryan's new ipod touch and downloaded some new games for Bridger's leappad, or we tried too, but the network was so busy that it wouldn't let us. We got ready and headed to Ryan's mom to celebrate. Bridger didn't want to open presents over there either. Silly boy. He played and had a good time. We got home early enough and enjoyed time together until it was bedtime as we all had to return to work the next day. We enjoyed the day celebrating the holiday together and baby Jesus's birthday.

So happy!

Loves his bike

What a hit!

Rode his tricycle for a long time!

Almost Christmas.....

I can't believe that we are only 2 days away from Christmas. I love it and can't wait to see Bridger's excited face, but I feel as if all my days rolled into one and I haven't really gotten to enjoy this holiday season. I have decorated and done tons of arts and craft for Christmas, but I have been so busy aside from that, I don't even think I have listened to much Christmas music. What the heck?!? It always goes fast and I know that. This is just a busy time of year.

We ventured out yesterday early morning to finish our last minute Christmas Shopping. We got up early and jumped on the ball. I knew it would be packed but I thought the earlier that better. We flew through it and finished all but 2 presents. Then, I had to go to the dreaded mall. I had to. No way around it. My sister-n-law is in love with the store Francesca's and I needed to pick her up some things. Bridger went down for a nap and Ryan stayed home so I could go. The traffic heading out wasn't bad. It was the strangest thing. As soon as I came up to the mall, through the back way that I always go, it was entirely packed! I mean, every parking spot, it was crazy. I got lucky and got a spot. Did my shopping along with the thousands of other people. Lines weren't too bad at the stores, there was just people everywhere!!! I really hate waiting to the last minute. I am so not a last minute person. We always have just a couple left, it never fails. However, I am finished now and it feels great! I need to finish wrapping.

Bridger has been cracking me up lately with all his funny things he says. He is so smart. I laugh at him constantly and have to put him in time out constantly as well too. He thinks EVERYthing is funny. Literally. We are trying to teach him it isn't nice to do certain things and he laughs. We legit only laugh at him with the funny things, but he thinks everything is funny. He is definitely his daddy. I absolutely can't wait till Christmas to see his face and his happiness fill the morning. His laughter and sweet hugs. I love seeing my baby so so happy. It will be so different from last year, and I think he will get it more this year. Merry Christmas to all!!!

I get SO many hugs and random kisses, I love him!

Absolutely love when he holds my hand

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

This year some friends of ours threw an ugly sweater Christmas party. We didn't think we would be able to go as we didn't have a sitter. Ryans mom changed some weekend plans of her at the last minute and Katelynn his sister said that she could come over and baby sit for us. She is so sweet.
So I was in a frantically trying to put together sweater ideas for Ryan and I. Ryan came downstairs wearing one of my old shirts and said he wanted to wear that to the party. I couldn't stop laughing at him as it was extremely tight! He said that Malori and I could decorate it.

Friday morning I went to Malori's store and we made our shirts and our hubbys. Since I was doing mine last minute I just used what Malori had left over and went from there......it was cute! It took us hours but it was fun. We changed some of ours around and added some extras. We laughed about it for awhile. Katelynn showed up early and we ordered pizza for her and her girlfriends, that were all coming over later. They got a good kick out of Ryan's shirt. It was hilarious. We had a good time at the party and came home early! Ryan is on call and couldn't really drink and he was tired. We were home by 1130 and waking up the next morning to run and do our errands was awesome! I love not being hungover or staying up too late.

Lately.......

We have been so busy this month as I'm sure everyone else is too. I feel like this whole month flew right by me and I didn't really get to enjoy the Christmas season. Every year I say I'm going to prepare a little bit better, but I never have. I'm sitting still as the holidays season comes speeding past me, waving to me. Hello! I want to be part of that too! Slow down.  I am even crazy busy at work. This is one of my favorite times of the year, smells, colors, lights, giving, decorations and remembering what Christmas is!  I hope I can really soak up some time within this next week before Christmas actually gets here. I get off half day early tomorrow and off till after Christmas. I am looking forward to it. I have some last minute Christmas shopping to get done.

With all this end of the world talk I was unsure how I felt about going out and about. I think it should be fine, but I am just worried about the crazy people out there. People really do act crazy and do crazy things. I don't want any part of it. But dang, I have stuff to do. I don't know what I think of it all.

Bridger is still doing great but he is driving us to question our sanity. I am not sure what is going on with him. Just another growth spurt or just flat out terrible 2's! He has been so so naughty lately. It is constant and he just doesn't ever stop. He is constantly fighting with us, telling us to shut up and trying to hit us or bite us. I just don't get it. I'm trying to be patient with him, but I'm lost on what to do. He can be the sweetest little boy ever, but he makes our nights a whirl wind of fighting. I'm usually so worn out by the time I get him down, and I have to be sure to take my own personal time to relax and calm back down. Its a constant fight. Literally. He goes to time out all the time. He comes out, apologizes and then is back to doing naughty things 2 seconds later!! I just wish I could stay home with him and keep him scheduled, because he needs it badly! I don't think he is napping at daycare among some other things. But I can't, so I have to figure out something else to help get this boy under control! He is the sweetest best boy ever and I like to see him like that. I really hate having to discipline him every 2 minutes.

Other than his naughtiness, he is growing so much. He remembers everything and repeats everything. He uses his sentences correctly and is understanding so much. He makes us laugh and we realize we will have our hands full in years to come, those tricky school years. He thinks he is so funny! and says "I funny" I'm glad he is so light hearted and can laugh at himself, but i just know he will be a little mischievous in school. He is so fun! Between all the fighting, disciplining, he is seriously so funny!

Time is just going to fast. Time to go enjoy it and soak in this holiday season with all its blessings and amazingness.

Connecticut School Shooting

I am so sadden and sickened by this mornings events that unraveled. I fully do not understand how anyone can shoot others much less innocent beautiful children. I don't know what this world is coming too but I am not liking it. You should not have to worry about your child's safety at school.
My stomach instantly turned into knots and my eyes filled with tears. We as parents are trying our hardest to raise our kids, raise them in a very scary violent world. They are our entire worlds and to have someone viciously take them from us, is NOT our choice and it shouldn't be any cowards choice. It's hard enough as it is to instill morals and values without having hatred flung in our direction every day, week, month, year. I cannot stand cowards that come in and take others lives and then turn to take their own! Take your own in the first place if that is the choice that you are making!! Come one! Innocent children?! I can't even fathom. I can't understand.

Why is something like this so easy now? So common? Where are people going wrong? How do you fix it? I am scared to let Bridger out of my sight. I am already on guard and now to have to worry about when he starts school. This gives me anxiety and breaks my heart. My childhood was so so different compared to what is going on in this day and age. It makes me sad. Crime is up....faith, wisdom, morality is down. What happen to good old family values. Going out of your way to help others? It is a sad world we live in.

I will hug and snuggle my baby even more so tonight being thankful for another day of blessings. I will hug him with a heavy heart and prayers on my mind. I will be thinking of all those amazing beautiful children that were robbed of their life. I will pray for them, their families and their community. This has got to stop.

These children are our world!
He is my world.
