Happy 30th Birthday Ryan!!!

This year on may 18th, Ryan celebrated his 30th Birthday! It seems so strange saying he is 30 now. We have basically spent our 20s together and now we are entering a whole new stage of our life. As I see it....it is a whole new stage. We had a great time in our 20s and I'm sure our 30s will be even better.

Between his crazy work schedule and us being busy all the time, also planning Bridger's 2nd bday party - I hadn't really had anything big planned. A friend of mine, Malori - helped me plan all of Ryans bday dinner. She is amazing! We had a surprise dinner at B&Js pizza! After calling around everywhere - and so many schools having graduation parties, it was so hard trying to reserve something for his party - and we didn't have a definite head count. B&Js worked out perfect. I told him he and I were going to dinner alone somewhere together. His mom kept Bridger for us. I got him to go to B&Js telling him that my mom wanted to give him his bday present and buy him a beer for his birthday. It was perfect because the parking lot was so full!! He didn't see anyones cars! He definetely was surprised or he acted it well!

Some of his guy friends went fishing so we were out some friends...but those of us that were able to make it had a blast! I hope my hubby had a great birthday!! We went to Politics after and hung out enjoying his birthday!

Love you Ryan!!

Mothers Day

I am so blessed to be able have this special holiday. No one can ever prepare you for what life will be like as a mother. No one can advise you enough on do's and don'ts. No one can explain to you the amount of love that will fill your heart immediately after your child is born and how that love just grows more and more even though you didn't think you could love them anymore!!

Becoming a mother is surely the most important and full filling jobs I have ever had. It is the biggest accomplishment I've had. Bridger was prayed for and desired so much. We wanted him more than anything in the world. We are so blessed that our dreams came true. This life is exactly what we wanted and couldn't wait for.

Being Bridger's mommy is so fun, tiring, hilarious, rewarding and amazing. Our little one keeps us on our toes at all times. As he is growing older we can pin point more and more what actions come from which one of us. It makes us laugh. Your child really shows you things about yourself that you didn't really see before.

Although my little man isn't lovable all times, I cherish our moments so much!! Night time routine is one of my favorites times! After bathing and getting his pajamas on, I get a great big kiss from him! He even tells me he loves me now! After goodnights to daddy, we go to his room and I somehow manage to climb into his little toddler bed with him, and we lay head to head snuggling and sing twinkle twinkle little star. He points his chubby little finger up to the ceiling and sometimes he sings with me. Some nights he wants it more than once, and I am always more than happy to lay in there as long as I can. This is one of the only times where he welcomes the snuggles and gives them out so abundantly! These moments just melt my heart!

This year for Mothers Day Ryan had to work so it was just Bridger and I. We went to visit with my mom for a little awhile.

I am also very thankful for both of Ryan and I's mothers. I am thankful for all they do. Bridger loves having his Grandma and Memaw around!

Beach Day!!

We took Bridger to the beach at the beginning of the month. It was technically his first time in terms of being able to get out and run and have fun. We took him when he was 3 months for 15 mins or so. I wasn't sure how he was going to react to it or if the waves would scare him, etc.
We loaded up early and went and got some donuts for our car ride out there.....daddy wanted to go clear down to the National Seashore instead of up close....

Once we got out to the beach Bridger was so excited to finally get out of the car, however he wan't too happy about the sand. He didn't want to step in it. Ryan aired up this little raft boat that we got him and took out to the water....Bridger was unsure at first but then fell in love with it! He had such a great time! Ryan would just pull him back and forth thru the water. They played for awhile in the little raft and Bridger was finally warming up to the idea of sand and waves...

I am so shocked how long Bridger played out at the beach and loved it. He didn't cry once. He enjoyed everything about it.....except the seaweed. The beach was an ugly day that day....rough, brown water and lots of seawood, but we still had a blast on our family day. Ryan and Bridger dug a big hole this kept him entertained for a good while! I can't wait to take him back out to the beach again.

I just love these sweet little feet so much!!!
