Pinched Nerve.........

So, 2 sundays ago I got a pain in my back while cleaning up Bridgers toys and it literally stopped me in my tracks. As the week went on it got worse. After many, many discussions with many people, i think I have diagnosed myself.....a pinched sciatic nerve. !!! It was ridiculous...I was taking a pain medicine but it started to make me feel funky so I stopped that and started taking alieve and sitting on a heating pad. It started feeling better the last couple of days and boom, tonight I tried picking Bridger up out of his highchair and I screamed in pain.......again!!?!?!?! Seriously?! and its even worse this time, I am so mad! I need to get better and I have no idea how that is going to happen with everything that I have to do every single day. I go to the doctor tomorrow just to establish a doctor, thankgod it comes at this time....i hope something can be done. this is miserable.

Boating.....???

Lately we have been going in the boat every weekend. Bridger is so obsessed with boats! He points out every boat when we are driving and yells it until we acknowledge that there is indeed a boat...surprise! haha. Everytime it is that excitement like he has seen it for the very first time. Cracks me up!
I call it boating- Ryan hates that. lol. But what else do you call it if we aren't fishing.....boating.....ok, going for boat rides. Thats what we have been doing lately. I have a feeling our summer is going to be consumed with boats and sun and water! No complaints here! I'm so glad this little boy loves them so much, I don't know where it came from...but we sure enjoy it.

We even have matching sperry's. =)

Happy St. Patricks Day

I have always loved St Patricks Day! I love the color green, shamrocks and everything that goes with it. This year we decided to go out with some friends..... we went to a block party and it was crazy. Its been a long time since I've done something like that....definitely too old for that. haha. It was so packed and no sitting and the wind was cranking! After a short time there we tried another bar....that too was so packed we couldn't even get a drink. It was ridiculous. We finally left there and headed to another bar that wasn't downtown....success! We still had fun, but not as much as usual with all the running around, people and lack of drinks.

Low Key Weekend

It seems like we are always running around with our heads cut off! We are always busy and always have someplace to be. I can't lie - we truly do enjoy it though. This past weekend we didn't have hardly any plans except for our friends little boys 2nd birthday party!!!
These weekends where we don't have anything planned really actually makes for a long weekend....which we love of course. Ryan had to do some motor stuff for his old boss from Beaumont. Luckily - it when quickly and he was able to finish with a running motor in no time at all! Thats my smart hubby!! I went and shopped at Kohls...I had a free $10 that was burning a hole in my purse that I just "had" to use. Funny how that works.
Saturday we got up and went driving around - got breakfast and went to look at the beach - nasty and cold. Stopped by the souvenir shop as I had some great ideas...wound up buying Bridger summer toys... hmmm. weird how that happens. We went to Landon's birthday party and he - as in Landon had the best time! He was so cute and so into everything! I forgot my camera so I didnt get any cute pictures of his adorable party! It was Elmo themed! Bridger didn't do the greatest....he had quite a few tantrums....like 6 at the least. ha. Once we got back home - he was good again. Funny how that works. We even went to a "late" night frosty....really it was like 8pm - but still past his bedtime! He enjoyed it.

The time change usually always screws me up! This time was no different - but I had to go get my mom from the airport saturday night..they didn't get in till 1030ish - then luggage- coming home, etc. I didn't get to bed till late..and then we lost an hour! ugh! Once we woke up Sunday we debated going to church - uh, hello....we shouldn't be debating - this is a weekly requirement! We got up and rushed to get ready - I was nervous about Bridger getting messed up with the time change and surprisingly I had to wake him up.....at 930! I hated waking him up, but we were already late to church.

I am so happy that we DID go - it was such a good service. It was about Opposition and how to conquer discouragement. A really good message. Talking about ridicule and rumors - you can't escape them but how to handle while still being committed to the lord, basically - it is never good to talk about others and start rumors or spread a rumor you may of heard - we all know this but still do it. It is so sad. Everybody is different and their own person - and guess what....god still loves them, just like you! Why do we judge? he made some good points on getting discouraged and not letting it happen - Ryan said to me "Im going to the gym when we leave here" haha- yes the message works that way too! Lol! We both thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to hear part 2 next weekend.

We just hung out Sunday and Auntie Katie came to visit with the girls and we went to my moms for dinner. It was nice, long and relaxing weekend.

So then he wanted to go and hang with daddy - and he loves that...and sits with him.....and daddy lets him play with the remote!

How cute is this chair that we picked up at Walmart?! Im obsessed with little people chairs, they are so adorable! Bridger loves them too! And this is no different. He is ready to hang outside "chillin" this summer! =)

Really hard going to work this week and it is Spring Break....and suppose to be beautiful weather! I am already getting the vacation itch and just want to go relax on a beautiful beach somewhere in the caribbean....and not wake up to an alarm everyday and go to work. ha!

My week is also a big bummer because somehow I pulled something last night while I was picking up B's toys and cleaning. I dont know how or why...i wasn't doing antyhing I normally don't do. I can barely bend down and couldn't pick up or put down Bridger. Tooks meds..thought it was getting better....they tricked me. Once they wore off...yea, but to the pain. I need to go get a heating pad and try that. I dont want to rush to the doctor just yet.....but im miserable!

updating....

I am constantly trying to update things in the house...Ryan hates it. He doesn't like spending money on things like that. So any "big ticket" items - aren't as often as I would like. haha! I also go thru stages where I am all about it and have some great ideas...or so I think and then I get discouraged because I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I wish I could just hire a interior decorator and she can do all the work and find exactly what I'm looking for and put it all together for me - I can never fully fulfill the whole look.
However  - we got new furniture - he are a couple pics. I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The bed isn't how I want it to look though....im still working on that. Need new curtains too! I am in love with this duvet I got from Pottery Barn. Im basing my room around this......

I also got a new rug for Bridger room! It isn't what I thought when I ordered it....but it works for now!

I also got this cute little wall saying from amazon.com I think its super cute and adds just that little extra!

So I also ordered some new 8X10 pictures from when we had our pictures professionally done by a friend late last year. I figured it would be cute to add some adorable pictures of my little one in the spare bath.....really, his bathroom. Some people think its weird...I think it looks cute! What makes this update even better is that I got these picture frames, matted and all on sale for a killer deal of $5!!!! each!!! what a freaking steal!! Couldn't pass it up.

Bridger's bathroom. I HATE the cabinets...however - nothing we can do until we buy the house. Oh - and still need to fill that vase - have a few ideas....but still unsure.

Just Because....

Just because I love this little boy SO much! We took some pictures today!! I love getting pictures of him and as he is getting older he listens slightly more- now when I tell him "let me take your picture, sit down" he does....for a second. ha! Ok - so I really say " let me take your picture for Grandma" he likes that better!! Of course he gets bored in less than 1 minute - no joke, but at least he understands what I am doing. In those first seconds he is excited then he completely gets distracted and moves on to something else. I keep taking of course.
Here he is today. He is such a sweetheart - he loves his afternoon snacks and I always have to keep some in the car for when I pick him up, but also as soon as we walk in the door he wants more. Lately its been my rice cake snacks..who would've thought?! Today - it was cheez its.....and of course he wanted the box. Today it was ok since they were practically gone. =)

Also, nothing has changed with Bridger loving remote controls or any other electronic device. He loves to steal the remote and try to change the channel....we are at the age that he mocks everything we do and pays attention to EVEYTHING! He even knows how to unlock our phones!? what?!He loves the figure out the remote.....we don't hardly allow him to even play with the remote....but as long as we watch him, sometimes we let him "try" to change the channel for a brief moment. (my scare behind this, is batteries...they are so dangerous for babies and I fear he will learn to open the back and get them out!!) He gets a thrill out of the short moments he is allowed. I enjoy that thrill and excitement.

Bridger also loves to get up into mommy and daddys bed! It is a weekend routine that we do every morning and you better not try to skip out on it - he will know and won't allow it. Anytime we let him up there he gets excited. He still doesn't have the concept of being able to fall off the bed, so we don't let him "play" usually on the bed. Tonight we took some time and snuggled and talked and practiced our animals sounds.....all while eating Cheez its still.....

Snuggles....

Since I've been stopping giving Bridger the sippy cup to take to bed with him, we have a special snuggle time every night while he drinks it. That really means that he tries to play the majority of the time. I'm sure he thinks its great especially when we both lay down and snuggle with him. He gets so excited and climbs all over the both of us......it takes so long for him to finish his "baba"

I love this time with him and we practice all kinds of words and peoples names during this time. This is probably the only time he actually sits and pays attention and you can basically get him to say anything that you want! I love it!!

First nice day.....

We have had such nasty ugly weather lately and it is such a damper! Rainy, cold and overcast. Even as it started to warm up - the overcast was still hanging around. I definitely needed some sunshine in my life. Finally, sunshine and warm weather!! Sunday we got up and headed to church like usual, once we got out it was so beautiful out. Windy of course, but not as bad as it has been. We took my car to get washed and went home to put Bridg down for a nap. I finished cleaning my car and actually had to put a tank top on! What?!?! Yes it was that hot! It was wonderful!

I went to talk with my mom about her leaving town and once Bridger woke up, Ryan made plans for us to go on a boat ride. I really needed this in my life. =) We loaded up and headed out. Well of course out in the bluff its more windy - I was chilly! Ok - really I was freezing. Bridger didn't even want to use his blanket - and was having a blast on the boat - everyone else seemed warmed so I took his blanket and snuggled up. Im cold natured anyway - so it came as no surprise. Even though i was so cold - it was a great boat ride and I loved watching Bridger have a blast. He is very obsessed with boats. He talks about them non stop and constantly wants to go play in them, so this boat ride was pretty awesome to him!!

Headed to Church

Even more impressively - after our long cool boat ride, we were all hungry and it was dinner time. We decided to stop at Laguna Reef and eat. We haven't actually taken Bridger to dinner in a really really long time because he is never good and always has a tantrum before dinner even makes it to the table. Then one of us misses out by walking him around or worse - sitting in the car with him. SO - we were so surprised and happy that he sat - tired and worn out, eating his dinner and being a good boy! I was happy! Maybe we can start to go every now and then again. =)

I'm hoping that the weather will start getting better sooner rather than later - Im not sure I am 100% ready for the hot weather - but it is also such a fun time of year - and I know Bridger will be saying "boat" non stop and even more than now!
