Birthday number 3!

As soon as we got back from our vacation we had to run and get things in order for Bridger's 3rd birthday party! I really wanted it at our house this year, with the kids still this young, it is usually just easier for us and all of our friends. However, I knew with us just getting back I would be freaking out trying to get things in order and done, and our dogs have really tore up some places in our yard - being right when you walk off the back porch into the grass. Worst place possible. I knew I couldn't have a water party with that.

We decided to have it at a brand new Peter Piper Pizza they built right by our house. We took Bridg to daycare both Thursday and Friday so we could run around and do last minute things for his birthday. We still hadn't even bought him a birthday present. Friday night we had his birthday party. When we picked up him from daycare early that day he seemed a little tired with some attitude. I was thinking this wouldn't be too much fun. We all got ready and headed out.

Some of our friends showed up and the grandparents. Bridger just took off as soon as we got there! I thought he was with Ryan, Ryan though he was with me, when in fact him and his little friend ran off to go play together in the toys! Ummm hello!!! We were freaking out. Luckily this place is much much smaller than chuck-e-cheese, but it also doesn't have the security that chuck-e-cheese has. We could not stop our child. He was going a mile a minute. He ran and ran and ran. We wouldn't eat dinner. He just wanted to play.

He finally settled down when he decided that he wanted his cookie cake. Thank goodness! We then opened presents after and tried to get out of there as quickly as possible after that! He was seriously so hyper and non stop we couldn't keep our hands on him! I think he had a great time but it stressed all of us out. Bridger is the oldest out of the friends that came, so I could imagine how it was for them, with their children being even younger! They were wanting to be everywhere!

I think next year we will go back to the house idea. Yes it was really nice not having to clean up after everyone, but I did miss having the relaxing pace at the house....and all the fun crafts that I usually make for these events. We have a whole year before we have to plan another one!

His party outfit! We wouldn't sit still long enough to get a good picture!

Before his party, we took him outside to show him a gift that mommy and daddy got him! He dune buggy car! he loved it! He has a tiny 6 volt 4 wheeler that he just absolutely loved and he would flip it all the time because he was too big for it. We upgraded him finally and we are so glad we did! It is the perfect size for him and it didn't take him long to figure it out! It has reverse on it too. This little thing goes pretty fast! It is really neat. Happy Birthday baby!

Our friends, The Brocks came over after the party and hung out for awhile. Bridger and Kendal played for a bit until we made him go to bed. He is such a boy and so much more rough then Kendal. He isn't always careful around her and she is younger then he is. He was exhausted from the party so we put him to bed without even a fight from him!! Kendal just played and was such a good little girl!!

They love their daddys!
