Best Fur Friends!

As I have said before, I don't let the dogs in the house anymore. BUT since moving down here to Corpus, I do let them in at night. We have the "breakfast nook" that is empty because our table is in the dining room, so the first weekend we left my mom fixed up the nook area for them and let them in because it was so hot out. Since then, its just suck.

I only let them in at night now that it isn't so hot anymore, and they go right back out the next morning. They know the routine and are really good with following it. However, Remington has always been scared of thunder and now I have seen how much Cheyenne is too!

We NEVER get rain here in Corpus, but were so lucky to get some last night and today! I let them in to stay dry.

This morning when we woke up, the dogs had escaped their area and were sleeping in our bedroom!! They get so scared of the thunder and try to get as close to us as possible. I felt bad for them though and let it be for the time being. I got Bridger up and started getting things ready to get ready for church. Somehow the entire family ends up in the bathroom! Bridger loved it, Cheyenne loved it and we loved watching them together! I'm so glad that I let them stay and hang around before "kicking" them back out. =)

Bridger was so scared of these bubbles, we almost got him to touch them....but didn't succeed

Family Time

Saturday night after Ryan came home from Beaumont we went to his Aunt Lyndas who was throwing a little party for his cousin Tommy. It was also Avery's birthday so we we had some cute little girl birthday gifts that Bridger had no problem playing with.

Bridger just did his own thing and ran around everywhere checking things out instead of playing with all of his 2nd cousins. Nana got out some tractors for the boys to play with, and Bridger like that!!

Tommy took Bridger outside with him for a minute and he LOVED that. Afterwards, Bridger wouldn't leave poor Tommy alone! He kept running up to him for him to pick him up and this continued all night! it was so sweet though!

Bridger also loved haning with Jenny! She let him play games on her phone! He got a kick out of this and it kept him entertained for a little while! How sweet of Jenny!

Why won't Daddy let me play with his phone??!!!

He gets so mad and has such a short little temper...he saw this basket full of play animals....and as I'm trying to teach them what is what, he dumped them! 3 times.

After playing outside all night and jumping on the trampoline, the kids all came in to get baths and down time. Avery was so good and painted Kelsi's nails for her! The boys were excited to be eating some nice birthday dessert before bed! How cute are they!?!?!

It was nice to hang with everyone and catch up some. We headed out entirely too late for little boy's bedtime, but he did SO well considering it was 2 hours past his regular bed time! He fell asleep on the way home and somehow got a 2nd wind before fnally getting to bed slightly past 10! Ouch!!
Happy Birthday Tommy and Avery!

Pink Eye

This morning I got up as usual doing my morning routine. When I woke Bridger up he seemed ok, I turned the light on and immediately saw his eyes. I continued to get him ready and kept checking out this eyes...once I got him in the bathroom under the bright lights I could see how bright red and slightly swollen his eyes really were.

I still finished us getting ready like usual, and decided to swing by daycare to see what they said about him staying or going, thinking maybe it could just  be allergies or something. His daycare teacher informed me when I showed her that a little girl in his class went home with pink eye Wednesday! eek! They didn't tell me so i was not expecting to hear that. Needless to say, yes he had to go home.

I called into work and than tried calling Blue Cross Blue Shield to see if my insurance really is effective the 15th...and not now. Ummm, its effective the 15th....in 1 week! Seriously?!?! Had to go to the cheaper doctor again and wait FOREVER! It was miserable. We spent a total of 2 hours at the doctors office. Bridger threw many fits, luckily he was entertained with the other little boys in the waiting area. He ran in so many circles, I felt horrible letting him run wild, but figured what the heck, every parent was letting their child run crazy.....obviously they didn't mind. So I let Bridger go all out. He loved it.

After our 2 hour appt, yes he has pink eye AND I got super lucky and the doc GAVE me his meds. How awesome is that?!! Since we don't have insurance yet...(in 1 week remember) the meds would have been really expensive and he just gave them to me. Whew! Only thing that sucks about going to this doctor is that he does aim towards helping people, etc so it is just him and appts do take forever! They always will. I can't wait for his insurance to kick in and go to a quicker doctor and closer to home. I'm very thankful he helped us out this time though! It was amazing.

I wasn't even driving 5 mins after we left and Bridger fell asleep! He wore himself out so much! No wonder he is moody during the week when I pick him up....he runs so wild all day and only gets a 2 hour nap! Definitely not enough.

Now we have to mend our sweet baby boy back to health again. Daycare are a good thing, but man does my poor child get everything that goes around. =(

After we came home and I got him down for a nap, he woke up a couple hours later and it was no very good news. He was screaming bloody murder and wouldn't stop. He started coughing, and a runny nose started...I suctioned it, but after it started bleeding, not sure if the suction hit his little inner nose too hard or what (b/c he was fighting me of course). After holding him everywhere I went and everything I did...he finally calmed down 5-10 mins later. Poor baby felts so bad he just wanted him mommy! AW! I love those moments. He ate some lunch and decided to play a little bit! What a good little boy!

We had some lunch and got ready to head out. I many errands to run, but really didn't accomplish much on my list. I hate when that happens! Sometimes I just don't want to run the un-fun errands. terrible. We headed to the mall instead. I picked up some good deals and got a couple of things for Bridger and I. Went to Kohl's after to use my free $10 coupon! Got some cute Halloween stuff on 60% off. Score! We than met Daddy at TGI Friday's with Grandma and Jamie. It was interesting. We were sitting where they couldn't put a highchair, (b/c we crashed mom and Jamies dinner) and Bridger had to sit in a booster between us....he did not sit still 1 time. It was tiring!
It was way past his bedtime and I rushed home to bathe and get him into bed! Of course he took time to cuddle with his Daddy! What a sweetheart!

Bridger's first finger painting

Remember how I keep going on and on how much I love Bridger's new daycare? Well, I do!! So many activities for this sweet boy to learn and practice!
Here is his first project that they gave to us! I'm so proud! haha! I totally get that whole mommy proud feeling now. Of course they cut it out like a fish...but he did the finger painting! so precious! Time to start finding special ways to save all these art projects that will fill my house for the next 17 years!! =)

And how sweet is this? Who wouldn't want to snuggle with this little guy?

Surprise Present

Ryan hasn't been able to come home as often as he was, so when we does get to come home we are so excited here in the Harris household. Bridger got a surprise this weekend and got special new toy from Daddy just because Daddy missed him!!

He is so excited to see this new toy and is trying to help his Dad get it out of the box!

He was so excited to get on it and did his hilarious little chuckle he does!

He was so excited and starting hitting his hands on it! He was learning how to bounce on it! I love how it sings songs and says colors and teaches him! I also love how he can get on and off of it all by himself! Go Bridger!!!

Lately Bridger has grown so much! It is like it took off the past couple of weeks. Now we can ask him a question and he answers....ok ok...he says huh or nuh uh...and sometimes yea. He is learning to communicate a little bit better and show us what he wants. He is still repeating lots of words to us and is beginning to learn his animals and knows where his nose is! What a smart boy! We sing ABC's every night and he always gets extremely quiet and listens so carefully.

Over the past week at daycare Bridger has gotten bit 3 times!! They are pretty good bites. I finally got to talk to one of the daycare ladies that was there and she informed me that Bridger and this little girl....a little girl..imagine that...do NOT like eachother. She said she has to keep them in seperate rooms. The first couple times she bit him we thought it was because he startled her, which I'm not suprised, that is just Bridgers personality. Yesterday is happened because Bridger pushed her down! yikes! Does he already have a crush...haha. Unfortunately this little girl doesn't like Bridger and keeps biting him, I hope she gets over it soon! My poor baby looks terrible with bit marks that are turning into bruises.

Bridger also likes to talk on the phone now. When Daddy calls I put the phone up to his ear and he listens so well and waits his turn and starts talking up a storm to him. Too bad we don't know what he is saying, but he is sure that he is telling his daddy something important. It is adorable! I have got to remember to get it on video!

Lately he has really been loving his blankets....he always has but now we can't even leave the house without one in tow. He even had to bring it into daycare this morning! I love that he loves snuggle blankies like his momma! Now if only he would snuggle with me!! =)

Halloween Pumpkin

Here is my sweet Halloween pumpkin...he is so sweet and so adorable. We are all ready for Halloween and the month of October! This is the start of the month......

Birthdays

Friday night Ryan was able to come home at a reasonable hour and we headed out to a friends birthday BBQ party. Ryan needed to be to work early again the next morning so we figured we wouldn't be out too long. We took Bridger with us and hoped for the best!

It was outside and it was nice out, we all sat around, talked, laughed and drank some, it was nice to relax with my husband and doing something fun.

Bridger did good most of the time and they had alot to distract him. He was into everything! One of his favorite things was opening the ice chest and trying to pull out the beers! What a little stinker!

They had roosters and chickens and Bridger got a kick out of them, here he is looking for them. Definitely kept him entertained for alittle while

Here is the birthday boy, Wally! Happy Birthday!

Bridger checking things out with Daddy! He loves hanging with his daddy!

Bridger is trying to figure out Wallys hat here!! haha

Such a tired boy! Almost ready to head home! Poor baby tried to party late. =)

Wallys parents!

this boy had almost 2 plates full of watermelon! He LOVES watermelon!

We had a good time and poor Ryan drank too much! His 3am rise came really early and than he had dead batteries in his truck! What a morning!!
