Saturdays

Saturday we started the morning out with breakfast on the beach! Bridger loved it!

I then forced myself to stay home during the morning and day and clean my dirty house! I swear if you don't stay on top of that on a daily schedule, one day it just hits you and drives you crazy! Or at least it does me. Saturday was one of those days. It was so great to get everything super clean! I only managed to finish the downstairs....it took me about 4 hours! What in the world?! I got done just in time to shower and get cleaned up for our friends little boy's birthday party!

Ryan worked at the shop all day and got alot done. He barely made it home in time to clean up and we were still late to the party! One of my best friends, Sam, had her little boy's first birthday party at Chuck-e-Cheese! We hadn't ever really taken Bridger except when he was too little to enjoy. I was expecting maybe some tantrums, a little bit of a frenzy and some craziness. We walked in and immediately saw his sitter that watches him during the day! It was hilarious as Bridger freaked out. Maybe he thought we were dropping him off?! ha! He refused to talk to her or his best little friend, Charlie.

We found our party and tried to sit down and eat a little pizza. Bridger saw Chuck-e-Cheese and loved him! How strange! I was not expecting that. After that it was all over with! He was gone. We spent the entire time following him everywhere! He wouldn't stop to play anything until we finally convinced him. He rode the kiddie rides and would ride them over and over before he was done. Then off, and on to the next thing! He did not stop! We didn't get to be part of the birthday celebration and we were worn out and hungry as we didn't get to eat! ha! He had a blast though! They had one of those jungle gyms you climb and he actually did it and went thru all the tubes and took the slide back down! We thought for sure we would be headed back up there to get him....not fitting and all!

Only pic I got with the Birthday Boy!

We left there and headed home. Ryan made plans for us to go out with some friends. His mom came over and watched Bridger and we left to our favorite right down the street bar, Politics. We saw some other people we knew there and Sam and her honey came out and met us. We had a great time and stayed all the way until 2! ouch! We came back home afterwards and I gave Sam a huge bin of clothing for her little one. All of Bridger's 12-18 month clothing. I was so sad, but then again, Ryan told me I probably would just buy new things if I ever had another boy. totally true. I kept some outfits that were special to me, and gave the rest away. Tear. But it is for the better!

We had a full busy Saturday, but it was a great day! Family time & Friend Time.

Our weekend

We didn't have much planned this weekend. It was nice to just go with the flow. Ryan has been super busy with his boat work and has been working hard at trying to get things done. He also has been working late with his regular job.

Friday night he stayed home to watch Bridger so that I could have girls dinner night. We have been trying to get together for the longest time and we all finally had the time. The 4 of us met at a place called Nikos. Of course there was a wait, which we didn't mind as we ordered some yummy drinks. We had great food and great talk! We were there maybe 3 hours! It was fun and I love that I can do these things with the girls. I came home to a beautiful baby boy and handsome hunny snuggled up in our bed. Love my boys.

Saturday Ryan took Bridg with him again to work at the shop. He had to run a guys boat he has been working on and he new that Bridger would love that. He is such a good daddy. Bridger just adores him so much. Ryan always is willing to take Bridger with him to do "guy" stuff. I went shopping and picked up some cute new swim suits for our upcoming trip and some other items as well, my sister's birthday is coming up and found her some cute stuff. By the time I went to go get Bridg, he was exhausted from all the running around and fun he was having. We hung out at the house for awhile. I did some grocery shopping and we just relaxed at home.

Sunday was church and it was an excellent service! It is a new series he started called Stop Worrying and Start Living. It was a fabulous service and I'm excited to hear the rest of the series. I love when I leave feeling like I have gained so much.
We went to the mall of course, and did a couple of things and then headed to his moms. We picked up Katelynn or Tate as Bridg calls her and went to Port A shopping. Bridg napped in the car as we all took turns running into the stores. ha. But it worked and my baby got a little shut eye. Kate and I got some cute new Zep-pros and I also picked up some cute new swim cover ups for our trip. We had dinner out there and headed back home.

We got everything cooked and prepared for this week to eat healthy! We are starting for real this week and i'm excited. I am almost finished with the full cycle of the Insanity and as soon as I finished I figured I would just start the whole thing over again. Its a great work out that last only an hour a day, why not. I also ordered Hip Hop Abs that I am excited to get started on to see what it is all about. Ryan is doing great and still committed to working out as well.

Our weekend was way too short as always, but we enjoyed just hanging out. I hate that it is still so windy here. We wanted to go out in the boat numerous times, but the wind was that bad that we didn't even want to tempt it. This is the time of year for these wind gusts that are like tropical storms, but what do you do? Not have a good hair day or wear a dress, thats for sure!

Dinner night

LOVE my shoes.

Bought him this and surprised him and he told me AWESOME and gave me a kiss. Aww

Playing before church

shopping in Port A!

My baby

We are definitely nearing the 3 year old stage. Over the last month I can see a huge difference in Bridger. I am not sure what the terrible 3's are just yet. Maybe we have experienced them before like I thought, maybe not. I would imagine more talking back and arguing? We have plenty of that! But this is different. He is so obsessed with Monster, Inc. He asks to watch it every single day, multiple times a day! After it is finished, he asks to watch it again. Really? Not only does he ask to watch it, but he will sit thru almost the entire movie. He gets up and walks around a little bit, but mainly hangs out and watches it. It is so funny and such a huge sign of a big 3 year old! We aren't used to it.

If he wants something he asks, but if we don't answer him right away either because we didn't really hear him or on purpose so he will ask nicely, he stops and asks again nicely! =) "Pwease Mom, Pwease?" It is so cute. He knows what manners are and uses them for the most part.

Now when I am trying to correct him on something I get eye level with him and ask him to look at me over and over again until he does, and he listens and usually straightens up - depending on what it is, or how tired he is. He is getting better at saying "yes mam" when I ask him to stop doing something or if he understands.

However, he is still Mr. stubborn. He still refuses to tell us his colors or count! What?! His 2 year old friend knows his colors, can count to 10 and knows his ABC's. Not my little man. He counts, but he starts at 4 and ends at 8. ha! He tells us his colors half the time. Just last week I thought to ask him his animal sounds and he did all of them, thankfully! I guess we just have to catch him at the right time.

He has done wonderful in his new bed. He fell out one time and I felt SO horrible. I literally wanted to cry with him. I pictured him falling out and it abruptly waking him up and him being so scared. His bed it pretty high. My poor boy. We now put a big body pillow on the edge and pull the blankets up (as if we are tucking it in too!) It helps and he hasn't fallen out. Thankfully.

At night he has not wanted to go to bed. I am not sure where this came from, but it makes it hard for this momma! I don't want to fight with him and really he is so sweet! He sits down and isn't rowdy or making messes around the house. He wants to snuggle and sit with me. Its so sweet that I don't really enforce bedtime till I go to bed. Luckily thats pretty early....but still. Especially because on the weekends he doesn't want to take naps! He is just a little party animal. He takes after his momma and wanting to stay up late. My mom and I are both the same, we can stay up so late just doing whatever. Thats my little Bridg!

Bridger also is getting even better with his words. I think he has a lisp. Haha, it is cute. He tries to say every single word we say. He repeats it all and he will listen to your story to someone else and an hour later tell you the same story with such enthusiasm! It is so funny! He has been saying a bad word.....I say "dang it" alot. but I used to let "damnit" slip. well, I guess that's the word he held onto. Drives me crazy because he says it all the time. I can't correct him because if he knows he can't say it, he will say it times a 100. Just like the word shut up ended like. He STILL says it to this day! I usually repeat, dang it? he says yea. LOL I have to correct this one somehow.

He is absolutely obsessed with asking "Are you Happy?" over and over again. it is the funniest thing, but we get tired of answering him. Even when he is being naughty he asks and we say no we are not happy and he asks "are you sad?" we say yes and he says "because I'm being bad?" hahaha! Smart little boy he is. We tell him no, because you aren't listening to your mommy and daddy. He apologizes and asks again, "are you happy now?"

He is so funny and he lights up my world! I love him to pieces!

Family Picture

I finally got a big frame and blew up one of our family pictures to a 16x20. Ive been wanting to do it forever, and finally found a frame that didn't break the bank. Everything I wanted was over $200! It is always hard for me to commit to something like that, so I found something cheaper for now. It works. I printed a picture that came out so beautiful, in my opinion. They are older, we had these done by one of my high school friends. She is a great photographer. This picture is from when Bridger was about 18 months. We need an updated picture, and plan on it for Bridger's 3 year pictures. For now, this is what we have framed and sitting above the fireplace.

love it!

Easter 2013

Happy Easter!!

We had a nice relaxing Easter. Since we were in the boat all day Saturday we got home with a tired boy but made the time to dye eggs! He has been too little before and never had interest so this was something I definitely wanted to do with him this year. He did so good!! He kept taking all the eggs out and putting them in different colors, so they all kind of turned out pink in the end, but he loved it. That's all that matters.

We woke up Sunday and brought him down to his Easter basket! The Easter bunny left his some fun surprises. He was so happy and excited. He dug into his toys immediately and pulled out all of the eggs and started opening them all checking out that candy that was within. We waited until my mom got there and took him outside to hunt Easter eggs. He didn't know what we were doing but he saw eggs and ran for them. He was so excited he was missing a lot of them because he wasn't really looking. It was so cute! He found them all and wanted to open them to see what was in them. I only did Easter marshmallows and m&ms. Of course he wanted those m&ms. We made him wait to open them all so we could get some quick family pictures. My little boy is growing up so fast!

After that we headed off to church kind of early as we know that Easter Sunday is always so packed. And it was. Ryans mom and sister and some others met us there. It was a great service as always. Our Pastor did such a great job talking about the Resurrection of Christ. Service was so packed! It was awesome.

We shopped at a store with  my mom for a bit and then we headed out to Port A later that day. Just a relaxed day with my little family. It was perfect.

Another day in the sun.....

Saturday we made plans to go out in the boat with our good friends, The Hortons. The day started out so dark and cloudy. I was so bummed. I wanted sunshine! Ryan ran to get things ready and Bridg and I went to Walmart to get some last minute items.

We headed out around noon and it was a bit chilly during the ride, but the clouds were starting to clear! By the time we got to our little destination, the skies were clear! It was perfect! We found this perfect spot where it is all sand and it is shallow really far out. In fact, we have to get out of the boat and walk up to the sandy part. It is perfect for the little boys because they can just run and run and play and it is shallow so far out we aren't worried about them falling in the deep water.

They boys had a blast. They didn't stop moving! They ran and played and were in and out of that water non stop. The water is entirely too cold for me still. We spent the entire day out there and we all got pretty burnt!

We did good with the boys and they get didnt get toasted! Thank goodness. They are both so pale and so easy to roast in that sun.

We had a great day and so much fun!! It was perfect and these are the things that we just love doing as a family and with other friends.

Happy 5 Year Anniversary!

Friday,March 29th was our 5 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe its been that long. Of course it feel longer if you count all the years together prior to getting married, we are working on 10 years this summer!

We always said that we would go to Fiji on our 5 year wedding anniversary. It seemed to far away. Yea - that didn't happen. Not even close. Having kids really does make the time go by fast I think! I'm wondering were year 4 went too! =)

This year for our anniversary we just wanted to go out and have a nice dinner together. We rarely go out to dinner together. We rarely go to dinner in general because of a very spicy toddler we have.

We got Ryan's sister to come and watch Bridger and we headed out to dinner at Landrys. We always forget about Landrys. I used to work there right out of high school. Funny to look back on those days! Fast forward 10 years! We had a nice dinner together and both of us got the snapper but cooked a little different and we both ordered a desert!

We really need to plan these dinner date nights together more often because it is so nice to just have the 2 of us together, alone. It is important to have that time as well. =)

Happy 5 year anniversary babe, I love you so much!!! Here's to 50 more! =)
My love also bought me this beautiful bag. Its so nautical and of course I am obsessed with nautical. It's a perfect summer bag!
