After our FOM conference we were trying to decide what to do. Ryan had a lot of work to do at the shop, but that just didn't seem fun for him nor I. I didn't want to stay home and inside and not enjoy the beautiful day. I talked him into taking the boat out. Bridger was extremely tired as he stayed up late the night before, and he really needed a nap, but we were just so eager to go. Bad parents. We got ready really quick, grabbed a bite to eat and headed to the boat. Bridger was of course so excited! He already calls it his boat, and he thinks he runs the show. He fights Ryan to drive and wants to be standing up seeing where we are going. While we were running it was a bit chilly out there on the water, but once we arrived at the ski canals, we found a nice little area where the wind was blocked and it was perfect! We got all of Bridger's "beach toys" as he calls them, out and got our own chairs out and relaxed. Thank goodness for the radio Ryan got at Christmas! Its perfect! We had the radio playing and made a couple drinks and just sat and talked forever. Bridger played the entire time, mainly staying very shallow not really getting wet. We stayed a few hours until we had to load up and head back home. We had a great time relaxing and soaking up the sun, and of course, my water baby was in heaven!
Saturday I was texting my girlfriend back and forth and we were chit chatting, I told her how awesome of a day it was, and she said she wanted to go out in the boat too! Of course, I won't argue with that. We quickly made plans for Sunday to go down to our favorite little spot, the "white sands" area as we like to call it. We left about 11am Sunday. We missed Church again. =( This beautiful weather, having a running boat it just too good for our own good! ha! We can't help it. We just love being out on the water. We are going to try harder to attend church regularly again, we just took a little break - right during a great segment too! boo. I am scared to see how Bridger will act going back. He gets so shy! Anyway! back to Church this weekend!
So we ran down, about a 15 min boat ride and it was a bit chilly. Once we got there, set up our chairs, got the kids toys out to play - it was so relaxing. The Northern tore up the beach part a little bit, but it was still perfect. Shallow forever so the kids were more safe. They played the entire time! No problems, no fights. They had the best time. Little Jaycob tried to keep up with the older kids, but he soon took a nap and was down for the count. We stayed till about 4. We all got a lot of sun and even burnt. The kids - no sunburn, but Bridger got that dang rash up and down the insides of his legs. I have no idea what its from, unless he is just really that sensitive. Poor baby, he walks funny and cries about it hurting him.
We got home, ordered pizza, let the kids play some more before calling it a day.....or a night. We were all pooped!
I'm glad that Bridger loves doing all of these things with us and is so good. Anything to make my baby happy!
