Katelynn's 16th birthday was yesterday, February 21st. We went down to Corpus this past weekend and got to do a little celebrating with her. It is hard to believe that she is already 16! We used to kid about this time years and years ago, about how we would have her take us to the bar and pick us back up once she turned 16. Now - that seems so far fetched....we have a little one and don't do much "going out". Katelynn had gone back and forth on what kind of vehicle she wanted, but once she saw this BMW X5, she was sold. It was the exact color, everything that she wanted. About a week before her birthday, Gaye called us and told us she was buying the car and would surprise her with it that weekend.....perfect because we were already headed down!!!
Friday night she had all of her friends over and Ryan and I....and Bridger fast asleep, drive up in the driveway and Ryan goes in and tells her and her friends to come help with the bags. I only got a couple of photos and really wish I would of taken video of it! She screamed, jumped around like crazy and jumped on her mom. She was beyond excited!! I was so excited to see her so excited. Of course we had to do lots of driving around it and checkin it out! It is a beautiful car! Now- all she is waiting on, is getting her license!
