Utah Trip- Day 3

We got up and jumped into our swim suits, got our boat bag ready and headed to the lake! How weird to be saying that. Ryan never thought he would be going to have fun out on a lake! I have always loved Pine view when I was a little girl. It is just seriously so gorgeous up there....something peaceful and gorgeous about mountains.

When we got out of the car, there was a bit of cloud cover and I was a little chilly! Never would that happen in Texas this time of year! ha! We headed out in boat and looked around, Bridger was loving it......Brenden my brother n law got up and skied. After that we talked Ryan into wake boarding, although I wasn't entirely convinced. He tore his meniscus to badly when he was younger, had surgery - I didn't want him to re injure his knee. He did so good! he got right up, it was like riding a bike. Old pro coming out. He was doing jumps and attempting flips...that made me nervous. I think he really enjoyed it. It had been years and year since he had done something like that.

My sister then wanted to wake board....but Ryan had switched something on the board...he jumped into the water to help my sister and bam! Just like that. His new Costa 580 glasses went in with him. HELLO! Don't you know those things are on your head...or better yet, shielding your eyes from the sun?! That is seriously his 8th pair! No joke. And he officially almost lost/broke every Christmas gift I gave him! Or that's what I thought at that moment (he since has found his ipod that was lost for months!) This man and his glass....... ugh!

My cousin and her boyfriend then called and they were walking down to the beach area so we loaded up to go meet them! My sister made some lunch and we just hung out talking. It always sucks when all your family lives so far away you cant see them all the time. We chatted for a bit and then went back out in the boat and had Brendan and Ryan tube. My sister hit a huge wake and sent them flying! Ryan still hung on...........upside down........... lol! So with that - his neck is still hurting! he is entirely too old for that! you definitely don't land as gracefully....he was beat up! We took my cousin and her boyfriend back to their condo and we headed back to load up the boat.

We got ready and headed to my other cousins wedding reception! It was at the local union station. It was in a huge room, and set up so pretty! Of course, Bridger saw this huge room as an opportunity to run his little heart out! Did I mention this was a sit down dinner?! yes. nightmare. We had already assumed he wouldn't do too hot. Ryan took him outside the majority of the time. What an awesome hubby! The food was good and it was good to see everyone. I didn't get to chat with too many for too long because of Bridger, or looking for Ryan and Bridger. Toddlers definitely take up all of your attention. Some cousins I hadn't seen since before we moved to Texas when I was 12 years old! We are all grown up now! It was fun, but for me - it was more stressful because I do have a busy body little boy. He never stops. Ever. I'm not exaggerating. Poor Ryan was so worn out. I knew I owed him big time. I wish I had more to say about it, but it was seriously stressful for the both of us and that is really what we were focused on.....I couldn't focus on much more. My cousin made a beautiful bride and it really was a nice night!
We all went home and got some great sleep!

Utah Trip- Day 2

We woke up the next morning and get ready to head to the zoo! Auntie Coe Coe tried to get Bridg to help her make chocolate Chip muffins but Bridger just wanted to wake up Sheaden!

After everyone got ready we headed to Salt Lake to the zoo! We got there around 11 and it was already pretty packed! Made sure everyone went potty....and got on our way. It was an extremely hot day, but that is something I love about Utah that we don't get here in Texas. It was hot - but no humidity. You can easily step into the shade for a few minutes and it is a huge difference not having the sun pound down on you. In Texas, forget that! At least in South Texas and cities on the coast. I love my coastal life, but I do miss the wonderful dry weather up north.

We walked around the zoo and Bridger did good. He looked at the animals and would ask a few questions here and there, but really already on the go wondering what was next. When we finally got thru the zoo, my sister took her kids to a show that was about to start, it was about birds! Ryan and I knew that Bridger would NOT sit thru that and he hates birds! For some reason he is so scared of them. They went to the show and we walked up front to go find Bridger a "souvenir" he is always so particular about what he wants when we go to the store or when we take him to get anything. He literally has to look at everything more than once. He takes his time and really details the toy and if that is really what he would want. It is so funny - but can drive us crazy at times. While we were looking around and picking out things that we would want - Bridger decided that he wanted this package of little frogs that came with a ball...maybe like jacks?! Well he wanted 2 packages of them. The same exact thing!! It took alot of distracting to get the one package away from him and a quick check out to get him to forget about them!

While we waited for my sister and the kids we got some ice cream and sat down on a bench enjoying the shade. I got this random text message on my phone- saying there had been a purchase on Ryans card for $843 at some store, and this may be fraudulent. I looked up the store where the purchase was supposedly made and it was a department store in North Carolina. Ryan called the bank immediately and sure enough, someone had gotten his credit card number and tried using it. Our bank thought it was suspicious and canceled his card immediately. Thank goodness! We haven't ever had to deal with that before....we just got lucky!! I know it is a pain to have to fight all that crap!

After the zoo we went to the "outdoor mall" there in Salt Lake. City Creek I think it is called. It was so nice! They had a little fountain and a tiny splash pad for the kids. They had a lot of great stores. I swear Corpus has nothing, literally. We stopped by some of the stores but then headed on our way. Of course I stopped at Gap and got B something....I'm a sucker!

On our way home Bridger finally fell asleep and was snoozing good. We dropped the other 2 kids off at the house and my sister took us out to Antelope Island to check it out. It was pretty neat. We saw some buffalo and beautiful scenery with the Great Salt Lake surrounding us. We drove around until Bridger woke up. He had a good little nap!! On our way home my sister saw this dog she was in love with.....she pulls over as quick as she can and tells us to check out this dog. It was her friends that just moved back....and it was a labradoodle! talk about super cute! I was in love with him. He was so cute! My sis and I stopped and talked to her friends for awhile, Ryan took the short walk back with Bridger. We hung out the rest of the night and Bridger tried so hard to play with Sheaden and his little friends.

Utah trip- day 1

Today we got up and finished packing our last minute things. We made great time and were out of there by 930!
Bridger was in a mood- he's been in a mood lately and was being so naughty testing us every other minute. I knew it would be bad.
We got on the road and he was good and passed out in no time. Ryan stopped  about half way there for a drink- of course it woke B up! Ugh! I guess an hour nap is better than no nap.
Once we get into San Antonio, we stopped by the mall really quick to get Ryan some new sandals. Oh, and no stroller! Yes, perfect! Ugh. B was being no naughty, wanting to run everywhere. It was a crazy madhouse with him. We got out of there as soon as possible. We went and parked the car and headed to the airport. We got there way too early- then our flight was slightly delayed. While waiting to check our bags, he was running everywhere! I was already getting anxiety thru the roof!
Then our bag looked suspicious, so they had to search that! We finally got out of there fine and  We found a restaurant and sat down for a quick bite.
Bridger was horrible!!!!! Literally! I've even tired of talking about it. He was just bad! We were going crazy! After that we found a area where nobody was at and I let him run wild! I had to! Hoping he would wear some energy off!
We made It to our flight just barely- we were literally the last people to board the plane! We were the last 2 rows on the airplane and luckily the seat next to Ryan was open! Bridger almost got us kicked off the plane because he didnt want to wear his seat belt! He was being mean the flight attendant and just pushing his luck! He went back and forth between Ryan and I the entire time. He did alot worse then I was thinking. Nothing I brought entertained him! We were both so exhausted by the time we got to Utah!

Nicole picked us up and we headed to her house to hang out and relax after are long travel day!

Ryan took a quick nap and my sister started dinner. We all ate and then headed down the trails to feed the horses! The weather is so perfect here. Hot but not humid! It was a really nice walk and Bridger wore himself out running wild! We were all in bed by 10!
