July 4th & the weekend!

I had forgotten to post about the 4th of July!!

Ryan's brother and family had still been in from Houston from the weekend before, the whole cabin trip stuff. We talked last minute about what we wanted to do.....we figured it would be a perfect day to go to St Joes Island. When the weather is nice, it is the perfect place to go!

The weather had been surprisingly nice that week. St Joes Island is on the other side of the jetties in Port A. You can only get there by boat or walking. No driving your car. We anchored out in the surf and had Ryan take us up in the tube! =) We met up with Ryans cousin - his family, our friends, Ryans brother and family and another family friend couple. It was seriously the most gorgeous day!

I laid out all the whole time. Our friend took some people diving along the rocks, the kids played, they played out on the sand bar for awhile....everything was great!! Bridger tuckered out on the way home with his cousin. Afterwards, we went to my moms boyfriend and set off some fireworks.

Friday I had to go to work, boo!! While everyone else was off. But, when I finally got off.....at 5! haha, we went over to his cousins house for a night family, friends and poker!! We stayed way too late and Bridger hung on the entire time playing with the other kids. Ryan didn't win.

Saturday, Ryans brother cooked us all up some fish. We went and hung out for awhile and then they all got in the boat and headed out to this little island to set off fireworks. I didn't go because I wasn't feeling very well. Bridger had a blast he said.

Last Weekend....

Last weekend Ryan left for Poco Thursday morning. He has been fishing Poco for a few years now and it is always blast for him. Poco is so much fun, but the last time I went to all the festivities, Bridger was just a little baby and he had colic. It was horrible! I have never been back since then. ha.

Thursday night I went to dinner with a friend. We ate at a nearby restaurant called Nikos. It was so delish! We had made plans to do something after, but by the time we signed our tab to leave - we noticed it was 9pm! We spent 2 hours at the restaurant and didn't even realize it. We had to cancel anything else to I could run and get Bridger from my mom and get him to bed.

Bridger and I shopped while Ryan was away and just hung out at the house. We shopped to get out of the house and not go stir crazy! 2 trips to the mall! lol. Luckily he still does okay with it, but he is getting older where he is yelling and screaming and being so loud and embarrassing! My shopping days are coming to a end with him soon....im sure of it.

Ryan got home early Sunday and we just hung out with daddy the rest of the day. We missed him and it was nice to have the whole day with him! We had a low key weekend and we needed it!

They didn't win at Poco, but he said they had a good time and had great weather.

My baby this past weekend......

Pictures Ryan took while offshore fishing Poco! Gorgeous! Sunrise.

Stella and Dot!

I cant remember if I have talked about Stella and Dot jewelry on here before. I was invited to a Stella and Dot jewelry party last month at a mutual friends house. I knew it was expensive jewelry but that is seriously the only thing I new about it. I was, as always, willing to check it out!

I went and browsed and looked at it. I liked a few pieces here and there, nothing actually popped out at me. Some of it I thought was entirely too large or too crazy. Then it happened. She kept saying, try it on, try it on. I was like fine, I'll try something on. I. Fell. In. Love. I couldn't stop starring in the mirror at this beautiful jewelry. Putting it on looks 100% different than actually looking at it on a table or in a catalog. I started trying tons of it and literally loved it all. My very first Stella purchase was this.

It is amazing. When you actually put it on, it is so beautiful! So far, this is my favorite piece of jewelry. With the purchase of that, I earned some "Stella Dollars" that I was able to use towards the next month. With that, I purchased this.

I haven't actually gotten to wear this one yet. But I love it. I love big chunky jewelry that most, although smaller delicate pieces are just as nice.

So last night I was invited to a showcase sale, is what I think they call it. This lady is the director of sales in our area and has SO much jewelry. She gets rid of it with these sales, especially when the new line is coming out and it even more jewelry. We love those kind of parties. We got half off any of the jewelry that was there. I ended up getting these two things......

I am officially obsessed with Stella jewelry. We got to try on all kind of jewelry last night, as she had tons of the stuff laid out for her party tonight. It literally is all so pretty and looks amazing once you put it on. I have a wish list and it was super long! =)
We are hosting a party for a friend next month and I'm excited about it. One of my friends that I'm hosting with actually just became a stylist. where she actually sells it. We love this jewelry and think it is made with excellent quality.
This is just the beginning of my Stella collection!!! =)

JTS 2013

For the past 3 years the guys in Ryan's family have gotten together for their annual JTS Tournament. The JTS came to be known after Ryan and his cousins on his moms side of the family all lost their dads. JTS stands for James, Tom and Steve. All of their dads names. They all try to get together on Fathers Day weekend and go down to the cabin for just the weekend. Guys only. They invite their friends, they have a little fishing tournament that they do. They just hang out and do whatever it is that they want to do. They always have a blast and always have the best stories when they come back. This is something they talk about for months after, even leading up to the next years tournament - they start way in advance emailing each other funny stuff and talking crap to each other as to who will win this year, etc. They literally love doing this.

This year it was postponed due to a few people being out of town. When they finally were able to plan it - it was the last weekend of June. I think every year they are going down earlier and earlier too! haha. They left Friday morning! At like 9am! They were anxious. They even had t-shirts made this year, a big banner and a few other things. I believe there were suppose to be around 20 of them down there at one time - including Ryans friends that were just going to stop by for a bit.

That Friday night I was at a skin care party with one of my girlfriends. We had just got started and Ryan called me. Every other word was cutting in and out. I only got Halo Flight and Allen(his moms boyfriend) at first. I got a little worried, but figured that they were just being safe calling halo flight because it sounded like Allen fell off the pier. I didn't hear back from him for about an hour or so. When we finally called me back I still had a hard time hearing. Literally we always get service at the cabin and it was terrible service that night. I was the only person they could get. Ryan then told me Allen dove off the pier head first into the shallow water and broke his neck. I got as much information that I could with the broken phone call I was on. I then had to call his mom and everyone else here to let them know what was going on.

It took the coast guard over 3 hours to reach him. Miscommunication or something. The guys did an amazing job while waiting for help. They all immediately came home Saturday morning. We headed to the hospital.

I am a type of person that doesn't think anything is really that bad. I down play a lot and I really try hard to no get worried or assume bad stuff. I always think everyone will get better, or get healed. My mind doesn't think the other way.

I didn't realize how bad it really was until we were at the hospital hearing from everyone what the doctors were saying, etc. He was in ICU for 2 weeks and he just got moved to a transitional hospital where he still needs that hospital care but not being in an actual hospital. He still doesn't have any movement below his shoulders and just got a trach put in. He was intubated for 2 weeks. He still can't talk. I could not imagine lying there knowing what is going on around me but not able to move or speak. How horrible. My heart hurts so badly for him and his whole family. For Gaye, for everyone involved.

Every day is going to be a new day. We don't know what the outcome will be. This is going to be a very very long recovery. We are praying for full recovery. Full usage of arms and legs. We know it doesn't look good, but Doctors are wrong all the time. we just keep staying hopeful! This has to be extremely hard and painful for him.

Drinks and Laughs

A couple weekends ago we headed out to see the comedian Sinbad. One of our friends booked the tickets for us all and we said sure! Why not. Yea, hes from back in the days, but i'm always game to do whatever! I love doing different things too!

He got started late, as his flight was late -  but the opening guy was really good! Sinbad was good, great, no. crying, no. but then again, I laugh at everything. I had a good time, the others, maybe not so much.

After Sinbad our friends we went with had to head home as they had plans the next day. We met a co-worker of mine and her hubby at a nightclub downtown on the rooftop. They had his cousin and sister meet up with us all. We hung out for awhile, then decided to bar hop, in high heels. ouch! We went a few different bars and stayed out the entire night until 230! but I had so much fun and I really enjoyed hanging out with her and her husband. They are a lot of fun! I think we were all really exhausted the next day, but it was well worth it. we don't have those nights as often anymore.
