Memorial Day Weekend

Besides celebrating Bridger's birthday Saturday morning we also had some more family fun! We hung out with Grandma some, went to lunch and ran some errands. He always loves spending some time with Grandma!

He has also learned some new things that I do not want to forget. We found out this weekend that Bridger knows how to say "Thank you" which consists of a lot of "d" sounds, and Bye Bye. It is SO adorable to hear him say those words! He even says thank you after giving him something without having to tell him too! Aww!  He waves bye bye as well - but again everything he does is in his own terms and time. Not on demand. He finally referred to Ryan as Dada! While we were driving home to Beaumont he was in the backseat laughing uncontrollably! It was hilarious! I would just look at him and he would laugh harder....for some reason our sweetie had the giggles! Most amazing sound. And now he doesn't like to ride in the seat part of the cart - he has to be in the big part where you put all of your groceries, etc. Silly boy. But it makes him happy!

We also played outside for a bit with the water hose and baby pool. Bridger has no desire to get in the pool and play and splash. My mom jokes and says its because he is afraid he will have to go to bed, since we have always associated bath time with bed time! ha! Maybe so, or maybe it is because it is too "relaxed" for this non stop little boy!

Don't forget about nap time! For the first time ever, Bridger took a nap with his Daddy! Reminder: Bridger is not a cuddler on a regular basis and will definitely not sit still with you in the bed....so this nap that occurred between the two of them was just perfect. Bridger and Daddy got some shut eye and looked so darn cute doing it! Ryan was very happy and snuggled for an hour or so.

We also broke out his new toy that his Memaw got him for his birthday! It is rather big, but so much fun for the little ones! In the middle piece it has tons of little balls and we want to get some more to fill it up! He hasn't yet crawled thru the entire thing alone, but I am sure in no time at all he will be a pro and loving it! Don't all little kids love "forts"?

After Bridger's birthday party we took a boat ride to the Island to go check out our friends, The Brocks new boat! It was nice to get out with the hubs for a bit while both of Bridger's Grandmas were at the house with him while he napped. We swam for a bit while he waited for Wayne Sr. to arrive. It was nice since it was so hot! We all loaded up and took the new boat for a ride. It is absolutely beautiful and a great ride! They got it just in time for fishing season and I'm sure they can't wait to take it out and catch some big fish!

These are the Ski Canals! Or part of them.
