Almost the time......

I almost have a 1 year old! I am excited and I am sad. He is so amazing and so much fun!! I can't wait to go down to Corpus and celebrate his birthday and spend some quality time with my family...our families. We have almost everything done for his bday party and really, we are just excited for him to have some fun - and eat his very first cake ever! He will love it!

I am off tomorrow so we will be heading down. It is a much needed vacation away from Beaumont. Work has been a little crazy lately. Poor Ryan has been swamped with boat work. Of course he doesn't mind and he will get it all done, but he does love those nights that he gets to sit on the couch and watch TV all night and do nothing! Last night we did just that. I took a night off from running and working out and we just relaxed and watched American Idol!! I am happy Scotty won - but really either one would've been fine.

Bridger is still being crazy and of course still loves his daddy like crazy. He is talking (well not understandably) a lot more, became a pro at walking, and listens to what we are saying so much more! In a couple of weeks he moves up to the next class and I can't wait!! He is the only one walking in his class right now and it seems as though he gets into trouble a lot and is into everything. I think he is overly due to move to the next class with the big kids and all of his friends.

Where did this big boy come from!!

Yes, this is a camera hook up cord- hes obsessed.

Ready for bed!

Love my boys!! Bridger is SO tired!!

Going Away Drinks

Our dear co-worker and friend, Michele is leaving us as of June 1st. She has been blessed with an opportunity to move to Houston and work in Insurance there. She has been at our current company longer than I and obviously been here the entire time I've worked here - 5 years. So although I am extremely happy for her, it will be quite different here around GCI without her. We will miss her but wish her all the luck in the world. I have a feeling that she is going to love it and adjust really well. Houston is a great city - and much bigger! So many more places for her to do her love of shopping, and so many more things to do. Her new office overlooks downtown Houston and she is actually going to work with a former GCI employee as well! Very Exciting!

Last night we all decided to go grab some drinks after work and it was the first time we all got to attend and we had a blast! I'm so glad that we went and were able to congratulate and give well wishes for her future endeavors. We will miss you Michele but we are all so excited for you!! Good luck!

Here we all are - except Patti...??

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Sweet Hannah had her 6th birthday party today at Beaumont Gymnastics. We knew that Bridger would not last the entire time so we timed his nap accordingly and he slept even longer! I even had to wake him up! We showed up a 1/2 hour into and they were all playing. Bridger didn't waste any time and dove right into walking everywhere!! We were there in time to play some, watch Hannah open her presents and eat cupcakes and play some more. Of course, we spent most of the time chasing Bridger around and playing with him, making sure he wasn't screaming or crying. (Which he does more often than not lately!)
I think that he had a good time and I'm pretty sure that Hannah had a blast! We had a good time visitng and letting the kiddos play! I tried to get Ryan to jump into the foam blocks, but he was trying to act like an adult! hehe! I thought for sure he would be right in there! Instead, I didn't jump, but I did get in with Bridger.
yay, tons of places to run!!

Sweet Abi giving Bridger some kisses!

Abi too!

Bridger has been into everything lately and on occassion accidently hurts himself. He is just going to be one of those sweet babys that always get hurt and can't help it. He was playing at the window and wala - somehow manages to hurt himself. =( 2 marks on his poor little head.

Bridger has learned to clap his hands together - It is the cutest thing! Of course we have always done it to him, but he has finally picked it up and he does it for everything. When he gets something he wants, when he dances, when he is overly excited for things, etc. Here he eating his saltines while watching Babar - I guess that made him excited. =)

In the midst of clapping and the saltine was in the middle

yay! Good job Bridger!

Sweet Love

This is what happens at 8:30 at night when someones tummy is hurting him. =( We love these times when he will sit and let us love or give some love. He loved snuggling with his daddy!! Sweet Love of mine.
We eventually got him back down and the tummy feeling better. Poor baby - no more french fries for him for awhile!! =p

A Toddler

So nobody told me that once your little one nears the 1 year mark - he suddenly turns into a toddler!(acts like a toddler!) Where did my sweet little baby go?
We now experience temper tantrums, loud screams, and a stubborn little one. Where in the world did he become so independent?
Going out to dinner is almost impossible some days. We tried Buffalo Wild Wings last night, thinking we were ok because it was loud and open and there was alot for him to look at. However, last night was the first night that we have ever had to leave a restaurant because our son was completely out of control! ha! He didn't want to sit and eat and wanted to walk everywhere - we literally had to get our food to go and leave. After a few screams we knew it was over due time. Welcome to a Toddler!
We work with Bridger all the time with basics. Most of the time he ignores us, and we still push on because we know he has to be getting some things out of it. He first proved us right a month or two ago when he "learned" to give us kisses. Really - he knows exactly what to do and he decided to give us a kiss when he feels like it. Not very often but yay!
Most recently as I was leaving daycare I do as I always do - "Say bye bye Bridger" as I wave my hand. And Wala! He waved his entire hand up and down, twice!!! The only time he has ever done it and here we were thinking he had no clue. He must have been listening this whole time! =)
This morning we woke up to him talking in his room, as usual. He can stay in his crib for at least 30 mins if we allow and just talk and sing and play with his blankets and stuffed animals. But this morning we were hearing a "clapping" noise....and Bridger was clapping his hands together very excitingly...lots of patty cake and praising him for doing good must be paying off as well! It was adorable! He kept doing it and has done it a lot today so far..... =)
He still does not say Mama very often and never "calls" us Mama and Dadda. It is always at random times....he isn't calling us. ha!
When he can actually get our cell phones, when we aren't looking - he grabs them and holds one up to his ear.......WHAT? When did he learn to be that smart already!? Cell phones at 1 years old? It is hilarious, so of course we chim in "who you talking to? whos there?"
Now when we take him out of a situation, such as playing with something we don't approve, taking something away, or just simply leaving a certain place....we get a full on head thrown back, high pitched screams and kicking legs. When did THIS happen?! =)
He is just a stubborn little boy that has always known what we have been talking about, trying to teach him and showing him. He just does it in his own terms.
This next stage of his growing years I can tell will be challenging, but so fun. He is a fun little boy and he just has his own little personality. We can not believe he will be 1 in one week! We look forward to seeing more of his own likes and dislikes and his pure silliness! We love our little "toddler"!

Happy Birthday!

Today is Ryan's 29th Birthday! Happy Birthday hunny!
We didn't make big plans today since Ryan has been working out of town and getting home really late. We tried to make plans for dinner with some friends, but ended up having to back out. I did however have time to make his favorite cake and having it waiting for him when he got home from work! I also put out scratch offs all over the house for him to find this morning....but he has told me that they were not "big" winners! Dang!

Although we didn't do much today we will have plenty of time to celebrate when we get down to Coprus next weekend! We can celebrate Bridger and Ryan! We are looking forward to having our little boys birthday party and hanging out with our friends.

Im sure both Ryan and Bridger can't wait for his work hours to change - Ryan misses seeing his little boy! Friday morning will be the best present for him....he finally gets to see his sweet little boy!!

Happy Birthday love!

Here are some pictures of Bridger today. He missed playing with his daddy and was extremely fussy but still so cute!

haha! I love this little pouter face

We had another low key but good weekend. Friday night we actually had a date night! Our good friends, The Pirons helped us out and offered to babysit Bridger so we could go out and use a giftcard we have had for a year already! It was time!

We had a great time and good conversation at Carrabas. We weren't as hungry as we had a big lunch at Red Lobster earlier, but managed to eat some delish calamari and lobster ravioli. We had some yummy drinks and hung out at the bar area for a bit after dinner.

We got back and Bridger was asleep! We were shocked! good job Kami! We decided to turn it into game night! Our last game was back in January, so we were definitely due for some fun!

We started out with Headbands....yes it is a kids game, mix it with some alcohol and it becomes hilarous! I was horrible and could not guess my animal! What the heck!? We then turned to Texas Hold 'Em. I won! Too bad we didn't put money on it! hehe!

It was a great night and I am glad we were able to play some games. We finally got to use our cute glasses that Kami got us back for my birthday!! Aren't they so cute?!

Saturday morning came fast - we headed out to Hannahs soccer game(the Pirons oldest). She is 5 and they are so cute to watch! She is really good and loves to play!! We did show up a little late and missed her goal! =( We will have to catch another one during fall soccer. It was fun watching them but Ryan and I had to take turns watching Bridger. It was past his naptime and he was being a bit of a stinker. He kept trying to get into everyones stuff. Refused to be held and was non stop! I didn't get a chance to get any pictures of Hannah playing! =( This is what I did get.
Very interested in the grass and dirt

Playing with weeds

Walking EVERYwhere!!

Hanging with Daddy!

Later Tim and Laura came up to run their boat! Ryan painted it and it looks good. Still some painting left to to do on it  but overall it looks good. Im sure they will be excited to finally get their boat in water and become "official" boat owners. Oh boy!! The run started a little rocky, but my mechanic hubby fixed it all and it ran great! I waited at the dock since I had Bridger and they all went on a little boat ride.

getting ready to run

Our new driver! ;-)

They stayed for the night and we cooked out and had some nice cold drinks. It was fun.

Sunday we went to Ihop for breakfast and had to listen to Bridger yelling and talking very loudy!! He constantly dances....people were starring. He is so funny. We took a nice drive looking at the water, property and some errands. We love to have family time - no matter what we are doing.

It was a good weekend and I even got some sun to even out all of this crazy peeling that has been going on! I looked discolored! It was nice to get some sun and made me think for a split second that I was on vacation again! hehe!

Mothers Day

I haven't written anything about Mother Day because we really didn't do anything for the day....but realized I still to write because for me it was still amazing. I still got to spend it with the one person who made this day for me, Bridger bear.
Ryan had to do some work on someones boat and he was here staying with us, so it was really just Bridger and I all weekend! No complaints! =)
We played and played and took numerous pictures and videos. He slept in late both mornings and let me catch a little more shut eye. We layed on the floor and rough housed, played peek-a-boo and patty cake. Walked around the yard millions of times (even practiced an almost run), played with the dogs, played ball, chased each other around the house, got my hair pulled out, played with Easter basket and eggs about 50 different times. Gave lots of kisses to each other and laughed endlessly.
It was the perfect day. He is perfect. I am so blessed to have this amazing little boy to call my son. He makes my world go round and I couldn't imagine life without him. He is growing so quickly and time gets away from us. I'm having to stop more often and really take in whats going on - I want to remember these tender moments and my little boy as a newborn, 6 month old and almost 1 year old. Too often we get caught up in our daily routines and don't really stop to see what is going on. I don't ever want to forget. I still cradle him every night before bed - and I love it because I still can. I'm loving seeing this little boy grow more independent with each passing month. He is becoming more of his own.
I am lucky to be his mother.
I am blessed to be mother.
I am very thankful to have my amazing little boy!
A very special mothers day for me.

This makes me SO nervous(new mom, I know!!). But he LOVES it and sleeps like this every night. Definitely a trait from his father.

At home fun!

Ryan has a line of side work to get done and he was able to get started on that this weekend. Even though it was really hard to say "Let's stay home and work". His cousin was hosting a crawfish boil in Houston and our good friends birthday was this weekend in Corpus at his river place. We really wanted to attend both parties - and in the end, decided we better stay home and get these things done since we have been gone for awhile! (boy was it hard!!)

Ryan was busy with the 2 guys and Bridger and I got to hang out. I'm so happy to be back home with my sweet baby and get enjoy some fun times with him. Of course the day couldn't go by without pictures or videos. Here is my sweets...

I love how B is starting to snuggle more
