Fathers Day

Fathers day was the weekend we came back into town from Colorado. We didn't have anything big planned, and we bought Ryan some stuff he had wanted at the outlets in Colorado, so we just hung out!
We went to Port A and hung around and let B check out some of the big ships. It was SO hot that we didn't want to be out in the sun for too long and we had just spent the whole day before out at the Ski Canals because it was SO hot. We had a great day out there as family, and it was a great way to beat the heat!

Anyway, we had a great family weekend after a great family vacation. Ryan is an amazing father and will do everything and anything for Bridger. We are so blessed to have him.

Bridger turns 4!!

Im a month late, but Bridger turned 4!!
We had his birthday party here at the house this year. Last year we did Peter Piper Pizza and it was way to much! Of course, I love to craft for any party and find ideas and make them come to life! I decided to take a break from the nautical theme that I so much love.
I found some cute ideas for crayola themed. I decided that I wanted to have a clown as well, and also have his slide up for kids fun. I fell in love with all the colors and took it from there. Basically the rainbow colors- but it fit the crayola theme and the clown of bright colors. Once I started buying and making stuff, it just turned to colors. Haha. I had some crayola stuff and some clown stuff and tons of color. Look like it threw up color. Just what I like!
One of my good friends helped me tremendously and we had fun making everything and decorating for it all. It's so fun doing things like this with someone else who loves it just as much.
Bridgers slide also decided to break at the last minute. We had to hurry and buy another one, and decided that would be his birthday gift of course!
The clown showed up and the kids were standing back some trying to figure her out. Luckily no one was scared! Success! Bridger let her make him a balloon sword and he thought it was awesome! The older kids let her paint their faces.
We grilled out and let the kids play on the slide after. It was a great relaxed party with our friends and family. Happy 4th birthday Bridger Bear!!! We love you!!!!

Colorado 2014- part 1

Right after Bridgers party, we had to pack and get ready for our family vacation to Colorado. My sister was getting married and we decided to make a family vacation out of it, especially because her wedding was on a Tuesday. We would've already missed 3 days of work. I was excited. After last years craziness of bridger and flying, we decided this year we would drive.....a 17 hour drive. At least if he freaked out and cried only we would have to listen to him, not an entire plane.
To our surprise he did wonderful!!! We left Friday around noon and planned to drive as long as we could. Bridger took a nice nap at the beginning and watched movies the rest of the time. On the way up we noticed on radar that we were going to run into some really really bad weather. We switched the Xm to local radio stations and heard that they were expecting grapefruit sized hail!! We were also driving in tornado valley. Very scary. We decided to pull over and wait it out at sonic. Worked perfect! We stopped in Dumas Tx and stayed the night.
Asleep on the way...

The next morning we took our time getting up and getting back on the road. The drive went good and Bridger was fantastic again. We pulled Into my dad's around 230 and Bridger was so happy to be out of the car he was running around everywhere.

Night from Utah and we got ready and went sight seeing and did some shopping. I love Colorado scenery so much, I enjoyed it all. The only bad thing was it was so cold for the first couple of days while we were there. My dad also lives in the plains 45 mins from town. A drive Everytime we wanted to go anywhere. We had a family lunch, and went back to my dad's to hang out. We taught my sis and brother in law how to play Texas Hold'em, of course my sister won it all.

The next day we woke up to 30 degree weather! I did not pack for cold weather! I thought Texas weather was crazy!
We got ready and headed out. We were going up pikes peak! My sister and her family drove, and Ryan B and I rode the train up. It was a nice ride up. B actually fell asleep for a little while. The train ride was about an hour and 15 mins ride. We got to the top, took some crappy pics, bought some souvenirs and then met up my sis and then it was time is to headed back to the train. Ryan said he felt like his couldn't catch his breath. Pikes peak is 14,100 ft tho! That's high.
B did great on the way down and actually talked this poor old guys ear off on the way down.

So cold the first few days

It was an early night for us.
