what our August has been like......

I cannot believe that it is almost September. seriously - where did time go?! Its definitely going too fast.

Since we got back from Utah - this month decided to just skip by super quick.
Some of that we did this month........................

Harlow and B before we left Utah

This beauty was waiting for me when I got home! Reed and Barton tier. I love it!
I started a new system at work. It has worn me down terribly. The first weekend after the new system - I literally tried to do nothing. I didn't do my hair or make up. I wore summer dresses and left it at that. I hardly cleaned my house. I was exhausted and beyond. We just finished week 3 of the new system. I am still tired but not as bad. It is a slow process and we will all be ok. But it was definitely a lot - going from something taking you 5 mins to taking you literally more than half the day is pretty difficult. I'm happy we are finally settling more in at work. I enjoy going to work and I enjoy being busy.

Ryans brother and family came into town to celebrate their oldest daughters Birthday. They wanted to cook dinner and take her and her friend to the ski canals. We didn't join in on the ski canal fun, but we went over for dinner. Bridger had a blast playing with his cousins. He talked about Sheaden a lot too! That night, we were blessed with such a beautiful sunset. I think they are so amazing and gorgeous. They last for such a short amount of time, but they are breathtaking and I can't help but stare and watch every second as the sun is going down.

Airing up tubes for his cousins

Tired boy

Tried to get him to nap for 2 hours in his room, what is your guess if he ended up napping?

Colton got his dad with cake!! We didn't see that one coming!

Perfection. No filter.

Ryan has been doing a lot of work at the shop. I took off a little early last Friday as I thought a friend from out of town was going to come in and stay with us, but it just didn't happen that way. I kept my time off early and my mom and I headed to the Country Peddler Show. I didn't see nearly as much as I usually do. But we still had fun. As we always do. I got a super super cute top! After the peddler show we ran to Walmart to get some things before having to get Bridger from daycare.

I have been going to Stella and Dot parties. My girlfriend now sells it and she hosted her first party last weekend. I went early and made some yummy cheesecakes strawberries. they were so good!! It was a lot of fun to just hang out with the girls and talk. I of course, ordered a bracelet - I couldn't help myself. I am hosting my first party tomorrow. I am excited and hope to take more pictures then, then I did at the other party. Major slacker here. Love my Stella jewelry! I have another party to go to next weekend for another friend! =)
Margaritas!

We also went to a 2nd birthday party for our friends little girl. These kids grow so fast. She is adorable. Terrible, terrible me.....again didn't take any pictures. =/ her birthday was so adorable like it has been in the previous year. Her momma and grandma are very very creative and savvy! It was so cute and so girly. When they do things, it always looks amazing. I was happy that I was able to share in on her day. She is such a sweet girl.

We went to Ryan's cousins little girls birthday fish fry as well. Not for long, I had been gone the whole day with all the other parties, I walked out to look for B and found this...... I guess we had sweet moments of just swinging and little talks with grandma's this month as well.....Bridger and Memaw were so cute!

We had a night of fun with our friends. After the birthday parties, Memaw kept Bridger and took him to here house. We went back to our friends, Ryan and the other guys soaked up the hot tub and we stayed talking, laughing, and having some drinks until 3 am! We haven't done that in literally so long. We had a lot of fun!! When you grow older and are parents of young children, these 3 am nights actually mean a lot. because NON of us want to get up with that toddler at 7 am! haha. late nights are very few and far between. We had a blast and thanked Memaw for letting B stay the night with her. he loved it.

We had sweet rocking moments. I stuck this chair in Bridger's room. Ryan got it from some friends of ours for the cabin, but B loves it. We stuck it in his room and every night he tells me to "rock him like a baby" - oh my sweet sweet love you ARE my baby and I will always rock you, as long as you want. I love it. He loves it. I keep telling him I want him to be my young sweet rockin baby forever. He just says ok mom. haha.

We ordered food out and waiting in our care while they cooked it. Bridger insisted that Ryan sit in the back with him.

Another sunset to just be mesmerized by. beauty.

We started holiday stuff around our house! I have some ideas to start crafting, AND of course I started my holiday kids wear. only my most favorite to buy ever!!!!

We finally got out Bridger's big slide. I think we only got it out once before since the start of the season, that is so crazy to me. We lived off this thing last year.

Bridger got to fish with daddy and his friends. Bridger actually really fished. Ryan would throw the rod and bridger would sit there and pop it each time and knew exactly what to do. He is such a little boy. I love it.

We also found some outdoor furniture!! This is why I steer away from Dillards. I'm obsessed with Dillards. Summer furniture was on sale. I wanted the couches and little tables but Ryan really wanted a table to be able to sit down at and eat. He wants to do a outdoor kitchen and have a tv set up and be able to have a nice little area outside, especially in time for football season. So, we bought this for now. We still need to buy 2 more chairs...but I do love it. We are extending the patio 15 ft, so overall we will have plenty of room, right now - it is a super tight fit.

I still have another Stella party this month and a bridal shower. We still aren't finished yet!

Utah Trip - Day 6

Our final day in Utah. Sunday. We really did not have anything on the agenda. I told my sister that I wanted to go to a look out and get some pictures.

They all got dressed and headed out to church. While they were gone for a couple of hours, it took me the entire time to pack and clean everything up. As soon as she got home, we loaded up and headed out for the drive. We really wanted Bridger to catch a snooze as well so he wouldn't be too tired for the place ride home.

We tried going up to one of the look outs, but I seriously forget how scary it is going up those mountains.....with no railings. Ryan hates heights. I was just nervous and not saying much. We didn't  make it too high before we decided to turn around. I got out and got a quick picture, but I really wanted a family picture.....but I think by then I was too nervous and I didn't want to get Bridger out worrying he would slip and fall or something. Things were racing thru my head. Quick picture and back down we went.

We drove around, looking at all kinds of things. Houses, pretty scenery. We drove to Ogden, and checked some of our old stomping grounds. We looked at our old house that we lived in when we were just little girls and I sure don't remember the house being that small. But it sure what. I don't remember the neighborhood being that ghetto. It is so crazy to see these types of things from another view. An older adult. Not a innocent little child. Our Elementary school we went to, is no longer there. not even the building. They completely tore it down and built some type of new school. We drove by some old friends houses....one still looked, literally, EXACTLY the same. It was crazy. We showed Ryan some other parts of Ogden that we remembered. The nicer parts as well. We showed him Ogden High School, which has always been such a beautiful high school.....or to me it is. You don't see buildings like that anymore for schools. We drove enough to where Bridger got a good hour to hour and half nap. We made it back to the house just in time to say good bye to everyone else.

Off we went to the airport. We were early. But Bridger did much better. During the flight home he watched his DVDs this time and was pretty good. He had some outbursts...but was pretty good. We landing at midnight. Talk about being tired! We drove home from San Antonio and I crawled into bed at 3am. I had to work the next day, no if, ands, or buts about it. I was late. haha.

Our trip to Utah was so good. I enjoyed everything about it. (Except the flight over). I don't think I could ever live there again of course, I am a Texas girl. But I do love visiting and being there. Something about the air, the mountains - its refreshing. Its completely different than Texas. I was dreading the trip a little bit before we left - I was nervous about Bridger, how he would act, play and be. I was nervous about how Ryan would feel and like it all. And everything went perfect. I am so thankful that we were able to make the trip and spend that many days with my family. I know it will be awhile before we make it to Utah again. I am excited for that next trip already.

The boys did this NON stop!

Utah Trip - Day 5

Saturday = Atalya's 11th Birthday!

I can't believe she is actually 11. I remember when my sister came to visit and Atalya was like 6 months old! She was so cute!! I swear kids grow entirely too fast! She has always been a little princess and she let me know that she wants to be the only princess. LOL. She does not want me to have a little girl. She cracks me up! She is seriously the sweetest little girl. Just little things she would say or do while we had been there, she has a heart of gold. I just love her so much!

We took Atalya to breakfast for her birthday! donuts! We took B with us so my sister could get some Birthday decorations done for her party....B was crazy as usual.....but I hope that she enjoyed her little donut date. We sure enjoyed it!

We had a little incident in the morning, I guess Bridger messed with Sheaden's legos and he freaked out. yelling, slamming doors - he was so upset! I felt bad. He really likes his stuff a certain way and his little cousin came in messing it all up. I know that can be so annoying - poor Bridg just wanted to play and kept asking Sheaden to come play. After all the commotion Bridger finally quick calling Sheaden a crybaby and said he would play with him again after saying he didn't want to. Poor kids...they have it so hard, don't they. =) They worked it out and played great after!

After that we had to try to take something back for her birthday - my sister ordered basically the same stuff I got.....We had to run around and figure that out. We took Bridg with us to give Ryan a break. Poor man had been so good at keeping him occupied while I visited with my family.

We ran to Salt Lake and some other errands.....and got back in time to start preparing for her birthday! We had my dad and sis and step mom over and Atalyas best friends from across the street. We grilled out steaks and had some yummy sides. It was great. We all just hung out, ate great food and watched Atalya open her presents. She just loves clothes so much.

It was great to see my dad and family and relax. They stayed till around 10 I think.....we had a great time. I really enjoyed being around so much family.
