Sick days

Since putting Bridger into a home daycare he hasn't really gotten sick. (knock on wood). We have been pretty lucky - especially since I didn't have any time saved up to take off from work. Just this month - August I got some more pro-rated days off! and I already had to take one.........

Bridger has had a low grade fever for awhile - I just attributed that to teething. his molars possibly. Wednesday last week when I put him down for bed - he felt hot and I took his temp - 101.5 I didn't think too much but definitely noted to check it in morning. Well 3am rolled around and I was woken up to a screaming little boy. I went to lay in his bed with him as usual...once I snuggled up to him - I felt his burning head and body! Even his legs and arms were on fire. I took his temp and yep - 103!!

I knew it would be a day at home with my Little one. Despite the high fever - he was still in an amazing mood. When we went to the doctor for once, he just sat there in his chair and even snuggled with me on my lap for a good portion. He wasn't up running around trying to play with things or get in peoples way. I knew he didn't feel good. He got extremely upset with the nurse made him undress to weigh and measure. He is so silly! He hates not having clothes or shoes on. He is 27.5 lbs and 36 in tall! Once the doctor came in he let Bridg put back on his shorts and that made him happy!

He has a sinus infection. Poor love. I know when I have them I am miserable. I felt so horrible for him. We picked up his meds and will continue to take them till they are completely gone. He has always had sinus / allergy issues so I am sure this will come up again. Poor baby! We spent the day together and he napped for over 3 hours!!! At least he is on the mend.

Peddler Show

The Peddler Show comes to Corpus 3 times a year! That is amazing. They often have the same stuff, but I don't care. I love it anyways and am always looking for that "different" item. I always go with my mom - and we go to all 3. This time she was going to be in Dallas with her boyfriend and wouldn't be able to attend. I asked one of my friends that wasn't working - then she got a job. So in the end - My sister-n-law and a friend from work went with me. The line was so long when we got there and we were miserable! We asked my mother-n-law and other SIL to come too but they got caught behind. We walked around and I only bought 2 things. A little pillowcase for Bridger and a new diaper bag for him. It was a great deal and free monogramming!

It matches his duffle bag I got there last time we went in February. I love it and it is the perfect size. The girls didn't buy anything and we left with tired legs and our feet killing us. we were exhausted afterwards! We got to the house and Bridg, my niece and nephew stayed back at the house with Ryan and his brother. They were having a blast on the slide! We all had a good time hanging out and talking. The Peddler show will be here again in November! I'm sure I will be there.

Kendal's First Birthday Party!

Last Saturday was our friends sweet little girls 1st birthday party! Her momma did an amazing job and it was a Luau theme. Colors everywhere! It was awesome. I wish I would've gotten some pictures. I went over Thursday before the party and helped her make some of the fun crafts. She had some super cute ideas!

Bridger got in a good nap before we headed out for the party. I knew there was going to be a lot of people but I was hoping that would help Bridg be entertained more and not want to get into everything! He did such an amazing job! I was so surprised. We brought his swim clothes and he played in the water for awhile. He seemed extra excited as he got to play with his friend, Kyler! It had been quite awhile since these boys have played together - but they wasted no time and had fun.

We sat outside for a long time talking and watching the kids play. People started to leave slowly and we made our way inside and watch Kendal open her presents. Or rather watch her mommy open her presents. She just sat there enjoying them all and touching them. Bridger did great and didn't try to steal toys away (I was worried about that) and at the end he sat and played with Kendal with one of her new toys! I was so proud of him!

Kendal is such a sweet little girl and so laid back. She is crawling and not walking just yet but I find that even more sweet and innocent. Keeps them babies that much longer - because they grow entirely too fast.

New car?

My sister-n-law went car shopping this weekend. Her BMW X5 she just got last year for her 16th birthday needs a lot of expensive repairs. I'm pretty sure her mom is tired of putting all this money into this car that in the end she doesn't even want her taking it to college.

So - time for a new car. They looked and we went with them later that afternoon. She test drove a mustang and a camero. I'm not sure if she will love driving a little sports car - but they didn't settle on one anyway. She is still looking and borrowing Ryan's truck in the mean time.

This little guy decided he needed a nap for the majority of the trip.

My daddy

Ryan has been working a lot lately on the side. Bridger always misses him so much and asks me numerous times where his daddy is. Every time he talks about him he says "My daddy". haha it is so cute.

Last night we ate a Arby's and he wanted no part of mommy. He even got mad at me when I took a bite of "My daddy's swhich (sandwich)" He is hilarious. He didn't let his daddy out of his sight and loved on him the entire time!!!

Bath Time!

Bridger has always liked his baths. Now he loves them even more. While we were shopping at Dillards one day we ran into his aunt working at the Philosophy counter. We chatted with her for some time and she started telling us about some of her products. We ended up buying the bubble bath! She said it makes amazing bubbles that last.

That night I wanted to put them in the tub to make it something fun for Bridger. He LOVED them. So much that now he constantly asks for bubbles for the bath. He goes and gets them himself and waits for me to put them in. He even had a fit one night I told him no because he had been acting earlier in the night.

He puts them all over his face....the tub...anywhere. They indeed make some amazing bubbles!

I also went thru his room one day getting out clothes that are 2t and what not......putting up others. I found these little jammies that were given to us. He hated them. He hated the footsies jammies long ago - and refused to wear them. These were no different. He kept saying his needed his shirt on. haha.....he does not like these one piece jammies.

Ryan's work

I am not sure how much or if it all I have talked about Ryan's work. He has his normal everyday job of course, being an I&E Tech for Energy Transfer. He also does work on the side. He always has. He left to college after high school to Orlando Florida. He attended MMI -  a marine tech school. It was a year long and he returned after. He already knew so much about motors as he has been working with them his whole life. He is a Harris. He is just like his dad, his grandpa - they have it in their blood. As I'm sure Bridger will have fun with it one day too!

While we lived in Beaumont Ryan stayed pretty busy with the side work. He does everything from motor rebuilds, fixes, gel coat and fiberglass repair....he loves working on boats.

Once we moved into our new house we just bought -Ryan got a shop with a friend of his that also attended the school in Florida. They have already had 2 boats in and gotten them both back out in a great time. He is loving this. Also while trying to fix his boats up to use and sell!

He is very very talented! He can do anything of these things with such speed and accuracy. If he has issues or becomes stumped- he takes a break away from it and it is like a light bulb comes on and he has a solution. He loves to try new things or come up with several different ideas. He truly does an amazing job. I know one day he would like to have his own shop - I am not sure if he has enough dedication to the paperwork part of it to run it by himself - but he always has us around to help and congratulate him on all of his hard work.

Bridger already loves playing at the shop with daddy and on the boats....I have feeling this little boy doesn't fall short from his fathers footsteps. That makes me smile.

Here is his friends boat they did. The blue looks awsome and you can even see reflection in it! This winter he plans on redoing the inside. I'll have to post pics of that too!

Just like his cousin....

This first picture reminds me of my nephew Sheaden! He is the funniest little boy ever. He is carefree and such a little jokester! He is alot of fun and is on the go - Bridger reminds me a lot of him. I think they would have the best time hanging out and running around together. It is just so sad that they live so far apart and will probably not see each other very often as they are growing up. Sheaden is now 5 and starting kindergarten! wow how time flies. I can't wait to get these two little cousins together one day....I'm sure I wouldn't be able to stop laughing.

This is totally Sheaden!!

A little boy

I love those moments when Bridger does something and I am like hey, he isn't a baby anymore - he is such a little boy. He plays with "babies" and he looks like a little boy, no baby. He asks you a legit question in the correct way -  screaming little boy. He knows to tell you if he is cold, hot, tired, hungry, etc.....such a little boy.

I especially love when I put him to bed he keeps telling me to "ayyy down" with him. I always do. He gets his arms and wraps them around my neck and squeezes me so tight telling me "I ove you too Mama" and giggles his silly little giggle he does when he is tickled! He scratched my eye on accident and I said, owie - you scratched my eye boog - He precedes to put his hand on my face like he is caressing it and said he was sorry - then kissed it! ha! What a sweet little boy. I'm thinking we are finally adjusting around here! thank goodness!

We had a great weekend together! I even ran around doing errands Saturday morning and he did amazing! We went to walmart - then back home then to the mall. He was fabulous for as long as I took!

I am so in love with my sweet little one.

What else would we play with?!

This weekend we decided to pull out his big water slide. We were finally home and had time. It is quite heavy and entirely too hard and ackward for me to manuevere around. Daddy was home and got everything ready for some play time for my little love. We played saturday night and sunday! He didn't forget about the water table during all of this.

Our fur babies are always around and in site!!
