Old Friends

This past weekend we headed out to Barton Street. We haven't been in so long. We used to always go when we first moved to Beaumont and would come home on the weekends. I was talking with an old friend from highschool and it got brought up and suddenly we had plans! We invited some of our friends as well, and we ended up having the best time!! It was so much fun going someplace different. We all had a great time and I got to catch up with a couple old friends, tell some old stories and of course catch up on our new stories! Until we meet up again - here are some great pictures!!

Texas State Aquarium

A couple weekends ago we decided to take Bridger to the Texas State Aquarium. We originally wanted to go to the Circus, but I am glad that we changed our minds last minute. It was a Sunday and hardly busy at all, perfect timing! The first half went really well. He looked at all the fish and was interested. It wasn't until the dolphin show that he started acting up. He didn't want to sit and watch, especially with the waiting till it started. Once it started i had to get him out of the stroller and hold him up. He was squirmy for awhile, but he did watch some of it and even clap his hands a couple of times. He was cute!!!

Then after the show we headed over the see the turtles or "durrdles" as Bridger says. He loved looking at them. I was surprised at how small the aquarium really is, I mean I knew, but I forgot. We walked thru it pretty quickly, but it was great showing Bridger and letting him have some fun too!

I think it will be awhile before we try again. Having seen how well he didn't sit for the dolphin show, I knew it wouldn't sit for the circus. This sweet little boy just can't sit still! He can't help it. I still love to show him all these fun things, he will enjoy it more someday...he is still just a baby! =)

Sweet Moment

My how he loves his daddy!!

Yucky Stomach bugs

Bridger broke out in a rash thursday night on his legs. I didn't notice it until I undressed him to bathe him that night. I wasn't sure if he came home from daycare with it or if it was some food that I had given him for the very first time. It was pretty thick on his legs but I just gave him some allergy medicine and put him down.

Friday during daycare he had gone to the bathroom around 5 times! It caused a major nasty diaper rash. Poor baby was in so much pain. The rash had moved up his stomach and back and arms.

Saturday he seemed fine but I had noticed the rash had moved up to his face some....he was good at the boat show...but while at Anndreas he was not listening and being bad, so I took him aside and put him in time out. While we was crying over it he started to throw up! I picked him up quickly and he just kept throwing up.....I felt horrible for Bridger and Anndrea! Ryan took him outside obviously to keep Bridger away from Isabella and getting her sick. I disinfected her house and everything that Bridger touched!! Our time was cut too short.

On the way to Corey and Leahs Bridger threw up 2 more times! good thing this mommy packs heavy! =) His rash was even worse on his face. Once we got there it took him awhile to get down and warm up to the kids....but he finally did. He started acting better. I finally put him down way late, only to him being awake 30 mins later. That started our loooonnngg night. He wouldn't sleep in the pack and play and you could tell he felt horrible. He kept trying to snuggle with us....mind you he has NEVER slept with us before. He would literally sleep for 15 mins and then wake up again! His little skin was SO hot! We got up at one point searching for a thermometer to get his temp. I was shocked it was only nearing 102 because he was burning up! finally he fell asleep at 4am and i woke up at 7 and knew we had to get on the road to try to make it to the doctor. None of us got much sleep. We didn't make it to the doctor, no appts available by the time we would make it into town.

I took him Monday morning and turns out he had a stomach and intestional virus. The rash was just something that went along with this type I guess. I felt so horrible for bringing my sick child to my friends house that just had a baby!!! He seemed fine though and how would I guess the rash was from a virus?! I really thought it was a food allergy. Doc said baby should be good as long as B didn't touch her. check!

My poor baby gets everything, or it seems like it. He is starting to feel better I think.
Here is his little face. Pictures don't do it justice...poor baby looked horrible.

Houston Boat Show & Baby Isabella

Last weekend we headed to Houston for the Boat show, but more so to meet baby Isabella. We got a later start than what we had planned so we decided to do the boat show first and hope for the best with Bridger's behavior.

We didn't end up staying too long but definitely looked at some of our favorite boats! Surprisingly, Bridger did amazing! I was so shocked! He fussed a couple times but it was so easy to just distract him and make him happy again. I was so proud of my little boy!

After the boat show we headed to see Anndrea and meet baby Isabella!! Bridger took a quick little nap over there which always helps a little. Mike was gone golfing for his birthday so Ryan was stuck with us girls. I got to love on baby Isabella and adore every moment. She is so precious! I love her already. She is barely 2 weeks old and still so little and amazing. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy her, help Anndrea if need be or if I want to = ) and let Bridg and Isabella grow up together. I guess we will just have to plan more weekend trips together!! Here is sweet Isabella!

While we were over there Bridger couldn't help but want to get into everything. But he was still good. He tried to play with the cords....no suprise. And then he tried to buckle all of Isabella's things.

Ryan took Bridger outside to play after he got sick....he still had some fun....

After we left Anndrea's mainly becasue baby boy was sick, we headed to Corey and Leah's. They were cooking fish and the kids ran around and play....its fun to see Bridger play with his cousins.
